Welcome To The Scenery Competition Week 5

The winner of week 5 will choose a theme for Week 7, and the Winner of Week 6 Picks Week 8's theme, and so on.

This week's theme is
"Scenery Clean Up"
as chosen by week 3 winner:

In the words of 80Y 2C2

"We've had a brush taken to the cars, now it's time for the brush to be taken to the scenery. Come up with a scenery shot and try to make it cleaner, vibrant and more detailed than it was before. Cars must be untouched"

Entry must be marked 'Final Entry' in Red Text.
Entry must be a Thumbnail, Preview, or Image that does not exceed 400x300 or 300x400.
Submit only 1 Entry, must be your own work and must not appear in any other Competition.
All Elements of your Entry, must come from GT4.
You may Change your Entry twice.

[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]
You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image.

been there, done that. wayyy too many times. i let everyone go ahead. this couldn't be more timely as i'm working on a new project that's perfect for this. goodluck to everyone.

well the maybe I should have stated that the car should be in the frame, but not the main subject. I dunno, I just want to see what people can do with scenery and have the cars as an added extra. If the cars are done really well, the picture would be more likely to get votes because it is striking for the wrong reasons.

And as David said, please please give this one a try!! I don't want this competition going down because of me!!

And if people are having not enough time, possibly the deadline can be slightly extended? I don't know.

I think 10 days is more than enough... well for me anyway, maybe some really busy people may want more...

Its suprisingly hard to find a nice scenic shot.... took like 20 different shots but i think i found one i like a bit!...

I'd rather the car being driven as A car (doesn't have to bo the only one). Remember that the cars aren't the focal point - and shots can be taken from photomode or phototravel.

i decided to stay home and stray away from new york fresh shots are always better anyway. i started work on this yesterday. and i hope someone can spot the little details i have added/changed to the photo. if not, you can always go to photomode and have a look, and see the difference ​

I know it's hypocritical of me, but I won't be entering this one. Because I chose the theme straight after I won, and the last comp went for....er...sometime, this one has clashed with my preparations for my half yearlys for my HSC (year 12). THose who are from Australia or have the same school system would realise how serious these exams are...so i don't have enough time for 2.0 entries at the moment.

I looked through all 89 pages and it wasnt there... but you have an amazing gallery, we have similar taste in cars and the use of photoshop and stuff, very nice! you can really see the quality progressing!

you didn't see it because it was hidden behind a panel you can see it here

the difference between yours and mine, is mine had positive distortion

by the way, great entry! and nuno's entry is so good as well. very realistic, and great textures as well.

Can we just get a head count of how many people intend/are working on an entry for this? I just trying to ensure the Scenery comp doesn't go down the plughole and the entries (while awesome) are not coming fast
