Scheduled Racing (not leagues)

Is there anywhere that we can go to see if there will be a scheduled race? Such as a race calendar but not solely for those in leagues.

For instance... I can't commit to being available every Saturday or whatever due to being a single father. So I was wondering if we could create a race schedule and folks who have the opportunity to show up or host then agree to set up the lobby as is shown in a thread. This way we could race together and build more rapport (hopefully will lessen how much we attack each other and would provide more insight to each individuals driving style to match up with their current concerns).

Example: This Saturday (December 16th) I could host a GT3 race at Spa (one of the most generic and well known combos to hopefully draw a bigger crowd) at 1PM Central Standard time, would have a 15 minute Qualifying Session followed by a 30 minute race. We could take a vote on whether we want a forced pit stop (are there any bugs for online multi-player pit stops that I should know about???), and a few other items such as full damage, etc. All race details would be posted to the thread so we could practice in our own free time as we see fit.

If there is any interest in such a thing, please respond. If this has already been discussed and I've missed the thread, feel free to let me know that as well.

Note: I'm on PS4 but see no reason we couldn't have a single thread to help organize these races for all platforms that don't have this advantage already (PS4 & XBox)

Thanks guys!

You're looking for something akin to what Raceroom does. Or iRacing. Or what Sim Racing System does for Assetto Corsa or rFactor. Or GT Sport.
There is nothing like this for Project CARS.

Correct and since it's not something that's available for console or pCars2 was looking to utilize GT Planet as a medium to organizing such races.

Hi I'm interested if this runs regularly...

I don't have time this saturday though but will try to form up on the next one...

Also what would be the reason to have damage on but no mechanical failures?
(Your room your rules just curious ;) )

Full damage because I want there to be consequences for wreckless driving but no mechanical damage because how I understand this when it's on you can have RANDOM mechanical failures and I'd hate for someone's race to end when they had no control over the situation.

And as far as running regularly. I can pretty much set up a race each weekend just will vary in the time it's run and how long it can last but I'll keep posting scheduled races out here and see where it goes.

I always run with the failures and have not yet encountered this issue but I understand your fear. If there enough drivers I'm willing to run a room during the week at a set startingtime to get some nice racing going in adition to the saturday races.

Another way to sign up for the race. Testing this out. Doesn't need to be used but may implement a more structured system like this in the future.

It allows you to see the race details and sign up for the race. It's a free website and doesn't require any account to participate. Just click the + Participate button and add your PSN id. It'll then email me your submission and I can update the Race Roster. This will help to eliminate those situations where more than 16 people are asking to participate. The room would fill up with the FIRST 16 to request to race.

Example of a Race Calendar. Note this is just an example of how things can be scheduled and have easy access and ability to register for a race without having to create any accounts or pay any website fees.

The example has races from pCars2 and GT-S on one calendar. I think this could be something very useful for us console racers!

When you'd click on sign up it asks for full name and email address. Instead of entering your full name you would enter your PSN ID so when the host created the lobby they can invite all the IDs on the registration list.
