we're supposed to beat Senna's time for gold, and he did it with a 1300+ HP car...

@SCER
F1 today is soooo much better... not!
Or you can purchase it from the dealership if you don't want to or cannot best the target time - per PD.

It was reported to have had over 1200bhp in qualifying and roughly 800something-bhp for races, so it's tires/chassis would last more than about three laps. The turbo era was mental.

Close - approximately 900 BHP in race trim and over 1,100 BHP in qualifying trim.

It makes today's F1 look like F3 by comparison. A quarter of the down force, twice the horsepower, half the tire quality.

The server is definitely currently under maintenance per the message on the GT6 "notifications" menu and per the fact that GT Academy is not registering on the main menu. Stoked, also a bonus for two more trophies..

Everything is working. The servers are not down right now.

Have to wait until 11PM Central time for the update. I'm feeling very anxious as i have nothing to do since my primary account got suspended as i posted earlier.:banghead:

Yeah, it was the following season's 98T which had 1,200-1,300 HP in qualifying trim. The 1985 car was certainly not tame but 1986 was the absolute peak in terms of the turbo era, and thus had the most powerful F1 cars that have ever existed. That gives the 98T approximately 100-200 more HP than the 97T. Although it is similar looking, I would love to get the 98T. Tbqh, there's enough visual difference and the 98T definitely looks better than the 97T imo.

And if we can't get any McLarens, I don't see why they shouldn't throw in the yellow Camel liveried 99T (they'd have to replace "Camel" with "Lotus") to give us some more variation, and even further the Toleman TG184. They could make a wet Monaco event for that one too.

That would be magical.

Mine wasn't connecting - now all normal connection to online is available. Must have just been some little issue.. Packing for camping this weekend, stoked that the content is soon approaching but bummed that I am. It going to be able to test out the new equipment until Tuesday or Wednesday after I get back..

I think it was less then 3 laps :s

The trolling opportunity PD have... The server maintenance will be a fix on a tiny bug nobody even noticed.

Ayrton Senna content coming next week!
"Fixes for some minor issues."

IS anyone gonna talk about the tracks that are suppose to come with it....

It doesn't come with any tracks. Only slight variations to match the tracks from the 80s (Brands and Monza). Monza's first chicane will be different (right-left changes to left-right-left) but Brands has the same layout anyway... Maybe some tightening or loosening since the 80s, not sure. Of course they could change the visual appearances to match that of the 80s but I doubt it. From what we've seen of the two tracks in the short clips they look the exact same (other than different layout of Monza).

Hey dudes, how many of y'all are staying up tonight for this update to come?
Not me, 3am is too much, also to wait for the update to DL, install, etc. I rather just wait for tomorrow. (Assuming an update is coming.) Besides updates can't run away, they don't have legs.

Man so excited, it is like the Lotus could be a Classic CART car, and the F3 could be a classic Indy Light, if they were to theoretically exist back then. Then some karting for fun.

^Also, Swap Force FTW (until some real Wii U games come out)^

Yeah its 3am for me also so I can't stay up either. At least I'll get a good sleep :)
