Senna content coming soon?

Only 14 minutes away as I type this. Out of curiousity, how long does it take to install? Might as well be prepared for more waiting.

Installed and, well, the "new" 80s tracks are all over the place. The modern buildings are all there, which makes Brands looks the same thing as the regular version.

Not that I'm complaining. I learned my lesson: never wait for good content by PD.

So I'm not disappointed. Nor impressed.

Perhaps these will be 'updated' further over time? PD actually are pretty good at the finer details on tracks so perhaps the revised layout idea was a later addition to the package?

It is certainly a little strange that the old layouts are transplanted onto modern environments.

Alright, now I'm only 10 minutes away from completely downloading.

I must say, I was not expecting it so soon. I was thinking I'd have to wait till 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM for it, pleasant surprise I must say.

I just downloaded the update and then downloaded another update in the game itself and then it told me the server is under maintenance and I can't get to the game. Not sure how people are playing.

Edit: Nvm, my wheel wasnt properly plugged in (all the plugs) so I couldn't press X. Controller wouldn't work either. Working now.

I doubt. If they choosen time-trials since the begining, they knew that the times would only make sense in the older layouts.

And I know what kind of excuse we're going to hear over this: "you know, there aren't much current references, so we couldn't match our high level of perfectionism in 3D modelling".

Yeah... right.

On the upside, the Lotus looks so cool, so alive, so beautiful. I'd marry that car.

The Lotus has two liveries. Slight difference. Both black and gold.
I was absolutely excited to see the alternate to the "Team Lotus Special"

Even just using a DS3 (don't want to bust out the sim yet) the F3 car is amazing amounts of fun and Brands old school is great!

I wouldn't completely reject the notion. We'll see in time, but I don't think they're done with the 80's tracks just yet.

One says Team Lotus Special. The other just has gold circles in place of Team Lotus Special.

So one is the Brands Hatch version and the other the Monza one. At Brands that year the Lotus has the gold circles as seen in the photo above, as tobacco sponsorship was already banned in the UK, and then for Italy where it was still allowed we get the written text, ironically showing 'Team Lotus Special' as since then there is the blanket ban on tobacco logos...
