Again you seem to be making a different point. I am simply stating that it's not correct to say that this is free new content. It is simply the content we were sold back in December, and which we paid for in December with the game. Sure we always knew it would come later, but the point is we knew it was comming and paid for it on that condition.
I don't get your point, it was free content. If it wasn't in the game when we purchased it, then we didn't pay for it. Simple as that.

And Red Bull X2014 and Lotus 97T has both Renault engine ;)
Conclusion? XCars is not complete without Senna.

Plus, the West Surrey F3's brake light doesnt work.
( Are we refer Ralt F3 to West Surrey now? I think thats the centre of the licensing issue)

Trivia: If you bored with one make F3 arcade race, you can race with other cars on career mode. (offline)

First time i have something that draws me to GT6, here's hoping they add more Senna content still (as the Brazilian press was hinting that), but it's worth a tenner now if i can find a second hand copy somewhere.

I would just do the Senna challenges, look at which cars sound descent apart from that in the respective thread so i can maybe add them to the garage also, and stick to time trialin' as the career mode unfortunately stays as lame as it is.
As such to add to my experience i would also like to see leaderboards PD! ;)

Expect me in the near future 👍

So according to your logic if someone releases a new game and say we will support this game with free dlc in the future then that makes the dlc not free somehow?

are you sure the Red Bull X2014 has a Renault engine. Mine have never broke down, nor do they seem underpowered....

I'm pretty sure that i read it somewhere, but now i can't find it (so now i'm not so sure anymore) :( Maybe i read it in Gran Turismo 5. But i do know that Red Bull using Renault engines in their Formula 1 cars.

In fairness my main issue is with people who highlight and exaggerate flaws in the Gran Turismo series whilst refusing to acknowledge anything positive, so not with you. Probably shouldn't have jumped on you like I did in hindsight.

I automatically feel the same way
First of all I said that Monza was ok because it hasn't changed that much aesthetically, but there are still differences.

If you think the version in game really looks like anything like that well then, it's not me with the vision issues and no, I'm not referring to the picture quality.

Brands Hatch on the other hand was very poor, it has all the modern buildings, nothing changed, not even the kerbs or run offs.

I'm really getting tired of this place, having to defend my opinion to the nth degree just because it's negative. I also do not appreciate being called stupid.

I automatically feel the same way. I don't normally comment or post in GTP forums because of the negative vibe that abounds.
I have a level minded attitude and like to see both sides of an issue and move on from there.
It would be harsh if people felt they weren't being listened too and decide that they can no longer contribute because of a backlash.
Your feelings are understandable and I hope I have not contributed to them as most of your comments are warrented.

New tracks sounds like jokes.....

Brands Hatch '80??

>THIS< is Brands Hatch '80!

I was really hoping the track would aesthetically change at least a little bit. Awww. Just removing the modern buildings would have helped give it an older track feel. I much prefer the old layout so I'm glad we at least got that.

So in essence, PD don't do free.

If you think the Senna cars rip off the RB car sounds, think how ludicrous that is and why they sound similar if not the same.
I know. People forget that two cars with small capacity high powered turbo charged v6 engines will sound simmilar

PD really surprised me with this update. The Lotus 97T sounds amazing! The whole time I was driving the car I am grinning like a little girl in a candy store. I am really pleased with the car and the whole update overall, heck I'd even say that it kinda changed the way I look at PD because let's face it they didn't mess up this time. Thanks alot PD!

OOOH I don't check GTP for a day or so and this happens! 30+ pages in this thread since I last looked.

I knew it would come out the same day I've done a 12 8 hour shift and am too tired to even lift a controller, let alone play a game. :indiff:

Tomorrow's gonna be a damn good day from the look of the comments here! :D

Edit: 8 hour shift. Yesterday was the 12 hour shift. :(

Indeed, not to mention there are plenty of photos of the tracks from back then. Lack of reference is certainly not the reason they haven't done it yet. One would have to assume they decided their track artists would be better spending time on something else, whatever that may be.

Sponsor logos may be a licencing issue, you never know with that sort of thing, and to be honest, I'm very glad the run off tarmac at paddock wasn't put back. That stuff is made for cheats.

Bingo. Removing current sponsors from a current track and replacing them with old ones from companies who no longer have rights to those spots or pay for that sponsorship space would be a legal mess. The current sponsors are at the track and paid for that space. The concept of sponsorships and licensing seems quite obvious, but apparently there are many who are unaware.

Also, labeling a Lotus as an "Ayrton Senna" car had to cause a few issues as well.

I guess PD did the right thing and released the content and stopped all the frustration, now people are annoyed that Brands 1985 hasn't been done properly and I agree. Then again, waiting longer for the content was always going to annoy people who wanted it earlier.
