Senna content coming soon?

I guess that's where we differ. If they're going to make a mistake on a sound, I'd prefer the mistake being one that still sounds like an engine, not a household appliance.

I think that's the key: I'd prefer it to sound like a dodgy V6 than a V8 because I don't think that the current engine notes sound like vacuum cleaners, but if you do then I guess any race-car engine sound would be an improvement.

If I buy an Adele album, I want to hear her voice, even if it's not her best. Not Rihanna's. Why? Because I bought an Adele album. With the lotus, I want to hear a v6, not a v8 simply because I'm driving a v6.
Like I said, just my opinion :)

Am I the only one worried by the DAP kart's physics? In that Senna tribute trailer, it looked awfully stiff and controlled. The real one was a lot more wild and "dynamic", if you will.

No offense but trying to discuss the physics of a kart that only currently exists as about ten seconds of a montage is almost impossible. It's also worth bearing in mind that it's driving on Silverstone, a large spacious circuit, so it's hardly going to be twisting from side to side with opposite lock.

I guess my concern stems from the fact that the current karts in GT6 feel a bit dead as well, but you make a good point. No offence taken by the way! :)

The main thing that concerns me is if they release just 3 "cars" and forget to actually release Interlagos with this Senna content!

At no point was Interlagos confirmed for this Senna content. All it was is wishful thinking on some of the fans' part, me included. It would be a welcome surprise, though.

Currently, the confirmed (in article text) content is:
  • Brands Hatch Indy 1980s
  • Brands Hatch GP 1980s
  • Monza 1980s
  • Lotus 97T
  • DAP Racing Kart
From the video, it appears that there is in game footage of the Ralt F3.

The karts will always be stiff until they change the tyre model, right now it's the equivalent of running on these

Maybe they're saving the Yokohama model for the PS4?

I'm quite curious to see what they will deliver. If Kaz is a serious Senna fan and a perfectionist as he likes to present himself, it has to be top notch all around really.
If they also screw this one up, the last chance for me to pick up a GT6 copy from the bargain bin will have sailed away.
Yaaaahhh. Don't say that @mister dog. I don't want to imagine the heavy backlash PD will get if they mess this up. :scared: :nervous:

Just out of interest, have you ever actually driven a historic kart? Or run with a hard spec tyre compound?

I would actually be surprised if they would get it right. But hey as long as we don't know for sure we have to leave our pitchforks and torches in the shed still ;)
I'm sure many are ever so eager to grab theirs...

Looking forward to this immensely. Goodbye, Tuesday.

The cars names are in the data, but if you try to load them, the game crashes, which imo, sounds like they're not in completely.

exactly, their names and IDs are in, but no models, sounds or anything. i also doubt this can be accomplished through these ninja updates, so let's wait and see

I checked gran-turismo.com numerous times over the weekend, because afaik the data for the Senna cars are not yet in the game right? Can they be included via a ninja update?
Regular server maintenance is done every Tuesday, 04:00-06:00 GMT.
Basically 13 hours from the time of this post.
A maintenance notice wouldn't be needed as there would be no reason to alter the regular timing.
Well, I assume there would be no reason anyway.
