Think it could be a PSN problem. Just tried to get into a game on Fortnite (I know, it’s a brave thing to have to admit) and I can’t connect there. Yet when checking the service status, it shows that there are no problems.

I just tried the ps4 shut down, sign into www.playstation.com buy turns out I was already signed in. I sign out and sign in again only to be greeted with

For the third time this week, PlayStation Network is experiencing issues for users on PS4 and PS3. Account management and PlayStation Now are having trouble, but, more importantly, gaming and social services are also disrupted. This means that "you may have some difficulty launching games, applications or online features."

While the Ask PlayStation Twitter account hasn't acknowledged the issues yet, Sony's network service status website confirms that there are ongoing problems.

Can't get on in UK its not an internet issue its a GT issue namely the fact its all online saves etc something I'm hoping they will address in the future its pointless. Seems like they don't want us to play our own games

So I was on earlier this morning with little issues. I wasn't connected to the server, but after two attempts I got connected and then had no issues

Come back online and I keep getting the error NW-31453-6, and the game says

"Unable to proceed. An error occured while connecting to the PlayStation Network server"

But upon testing my connection, I successfully connected to the PSN server...

I will try a different game and see if that works.

I tried the following games

Grand Theft Auto V Online - The Rockstar game servers are unavailable right now. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V and try again later.

Call of Duty WWII - Have to update to v 1.09. Update is currently downloading without issue.

Project Cars 2 - When attempting to join an online room, I receive the error "You have been disconnected from the multiplayer session. Exiting session"

PSN Friends list - inaccessible

PSN store - Working

Test connection - always says I successfully connected to PSN... -_-

Don't blame PD guys, definitely a PSN issue.

This online only mode is annoying, they should implement the save offline feature until online is restored.

PSN Issues, guess 59.99 a year is not enough to buy decent servers and hire staff to keep them working. Not sure how they managed on PS3 for free. Frustrating.

Ok it's a good job I can login to xbox live and play FM7 on my PC.

Probably Sony engineers not doing any work, downloading torrents, porn and gaming unplugging the rest of us. Making full use of their ISP network downlink!

PSN still dont work but connecting ingame to gts- server works. Online save works, joining/creating room also works.

Not in the UK - PSN still showing games etc as having issues on the dialogue box in game....

Couldn't connect to GT Sport 4 days now...
Keep getting error messages. Tried to play 2 sony games online couldn't, then tried one EA game and it worked online. (UK)

Before spouting tripe saying stuff like "PD are useless", try doing some research into error codes, read threads on PlayStation Community. It's really annoying and it makes it worse when you have no idea what you're talking about.

EDIT: It IS a PSN issue, because it seems the majority of other games' online functions are not working either.

I couldn't access the GT Sport server. Ran a custom race in practice for the corvette gr3 race at maggiore. Now it works..... I'm tempted to leave my PS4 on during dinner....

You can usually count on all major gaming networks to have trouble around Xmas due to increased users and hacker attacks.
