Just a heads up, so be patient if indeed it happens. Stay safe if you're in the area!

We are preparing for the landfall of Hurricane Sandy along the east coast of the USA.

We have data centers in Virginia and Massachusetts and because this is such a large storm, operations at both could be impacted.

In the event of outages at one or both data centers, some iRacing services could be interrupted. Staff at both data centers are prepared to enact contingency plans. In the event of issues, we will be working diligently to restore service while keeping the safety of staff paramount.

Thank you all for your understanding.

And the same from me, stay safe all the staff and everyone else in the area... don't risk your lives for a simulator.

I hope it isn't as bad as it seems because normally we get the 'remains' of the East Coast hurricanes and it can get pretty nasty, especially when only a 20 ft sea wall is protecting us.

I'll second that.

Nah, we're fine! It already passed all we got was a nice breeze and a rainy weekend. Sun was already poking trough today. The guys up north are in for a beatting, hope everyone stays safe up there!

Here in Ohio, we have a wind advisory for the next 36hrs. They're predicting sustained winds of 30mph with gusts anywhere from 40-50mph. Supposed to get some rain possibly mixed with snow:eek:

So, if Ohio is getting this, I can't imagine what its like on the coast. The coast is supposed to get 5-10 in. of rain, record storm surge levels, and winds around 100mph.

Stay safe iRacing staff. Loss of service is nothing compared to whats bearing down on your area. If anyone who reads this lives close to the coast, please take the necessary precautions to protect yourself.

I have no idea how people live there in the USA. But the guys who live there never thought about moving out? :scared:
I am happy i live in Europe. No hurricanes or tornado's here. Atleast not yet.

If everyone takes the appropriate meassures they'll be ok, of course for beach front properties the meassures are way more drastic but if people do what's needed it'll be ok.
