Shaking screen!?

The image on my TV seems to shake for a couple seconds right before the start of the race, and then a couple seconds after the start. why? i know there isn't anything wrong with my tv because it only happens when i play GT4. and even then, it only happens on certain races like sarthe II 24h, and the Las Vegas Drag Strip.

Is there something wrong with my ps2? With GT4? I can post a video on youtube of what i like to call the "Mysterious Earthquake"

It's just GT4 pushing the PS2 very, VERY hard.

It's nothing wrong with your PS2 or GT4, it's simply a glitch.

Mine does the same thing. It's nothing to freak out about, just ignore it and it should not be a problem. Do Not go out and buy a new copy of GT4 because you wouldn't be fixing anything.

A few tracks will do this. But its harmless. Normally it happens on replays and race starts. Do not worry about it.

It happens at the beginning and at certain points during most races if you've got the video output set to Normal. (Options --> Screen Settings)
If your TV will take it, switch the output mode to 480p or 1080i and it will stop.

This happens to me just about all the time. I've got a different problem though, the top left corner of the screen always tends to have a pink tint. Not sure whether it's only GT4, it happens quite alot on other games as well.

If you're still using a CRT TV, that sounds a lot like magnetic interference. Is there an external speaker or something else magnetic close to the top left corner of your screen? If so move it away and the tint should disappear.
Also see if there's a Degauss option in your TV menu, that should help out.
