Shifting Animation Gone Post 1.10 Update?

Ever since update 1.10, I notice that when using manual transmission in cockpit view, there is no shifting animation. Call me crazy, but didn't the shifting animation appear prior to the update?

Perhaps I'm getting my driving/racing sims confused, but I could've sworn the animation was there before. Now when I manually shift, the driver's hand remains firmly on the steering wheel.

Anyone else notice this, or am I just having a senior moment?

I noticed in the replay the driver shifts more accurately than ever before with flappy paddle gearboxes, there always used to be a delay that drove me nuts lol.

Well dang it, I'm guess I'm going crazy 'cause that hand ain't movin', lol.

Thanks guys, for the responses. I won't sweat it. Still enjoyable.

Well, I did it in the (08?) Mustang. I'll check a few other cars as well...
That Mustang is actually automatic, not manual. For some reason the game lets you choose if you want to drive it in automatic or manual anyway..

Well, you're able to choose for ANY car. I wish they didn't let us do that, because it bugs me out knowing I might be driving a car in Manual that is only AUTO.

what bugs me is that there is no actual automatic transmission that behaves like one in real life, its more of automatic gearshift rather than an auto transmission

As mentioned the 07 Mustang GT is automatic, reason for this is the Mustang GT5's based on is a limited Japanese spec sold model that came in GT automatic models only.

My wish is if the car is a automatic model (lke the Mustang and 08 Challenger SRT8) then I would like the car to drive like a automatic with a torque converter (while still allowing manual gear selections), much like the SL55 does in GT5.
