Yep barefoot here also! with socks on my feet slip off the pedals at the crucial times and without they stick like glue basically 👍
Kinda' like these that I used (slipper-socks with grippy rubber design on the base):I'm using socks as well.
In order to solve the "slippering" problem that you are having (I had this too), I bought a special pen-tube in kind of a "home depot" store. This special pen-tube is something like a "colored glue" for painting & decorating. My wife made a few stripes on the bottom of the socks, and when it dries it made my socks anti-slips.
It is very good solution !!!
Just as I thought the GT5 forum couldn't have questions any more foolish, this thread pops up. I use neither shoes nor socks, bare feet here.
Uhuh... Are those shoes professional racing spec? If not, I'd say the more "realistic" option is that which gives the gamer the most tactile feedback through the pedals, and given that most gaming rigs have pedals that are nowhere near as heavy as pedals in a real car, socks or bare feet offer a far more "realistic" experience in that respect.Shoes, more realistic.
If it's such a foolish topic, why did you bother responding in it?Just as I thought the GT5 forum couldn't have questions any more foolish, this thread pops up. I use neither shoes nor socks, bare feet here.
So why do you bother to answer the OP his question than??...
spy.
Same here. 👍Socks FTW

I'll just have to concede that there are people out there who take gaming far more seriously than I doNot pro, more of a sport type. They have a very thin layer of rubber, so you get great feel of the pedals. I prefer them to socks because:
1. You wear them when driving for real.
2. Better grip on pedals
3. Easier to heal/toe. Doesnt hurt your feet compared to socks.
4. Toes dont get split between the edges of pedals
Socks.
But I do have a pair of racing shoes I use for real track days that are flexible and light enough to use if I choose.
