Should i expect to lose a couple races?

Depends if it's a 10.0km example or not. If so, then it's pretty achievable. Otherwise it will be a bit harder.

No, I mean it depends on whether the Civic is a 6.2mile/10.0km example or not. Check how many km's it's used....you'll see the one in early '90s used cars there is a '95 Civic with 10.0km for about 12k. This car is what I am talking about.

And no double-posts either, please. If you're still the most recent poster, use the "Edit" button to add to your last post (unless several months have elapsed).

Incidentally, though the praise is appreciated from Gil, I'm not that good. It's true I have a 100% win ratio savegame, but that's only because I researched every part of the game before I raced it - and my aim was to get a minimum-elapsed-time game (see my signature) when I started racing.

As for A-spec points - you can choose whatever level of difficulty you want, by dint of selecting the right tool for the job. Check our 200pt A-Spec club, where racers try to get the maximum amount of points in every race.

So, if I accidentally double post, can I delete the second post and add it to the first one, or do I need to tell someone that I double-posted?

On-topic, it would help if you practiced that track with the car you choose. As for b-spec Bob, try starting the race on 4, then when you are ahead or your tires start to lose grip, ease it back to 3.

Is it possible to win the race of the FF challange (Motegi) with a Civic (EG) with racing muffler and racing brakes. Is impossible for me.

I think there are four Honda Civic SiR-II (EG) cars in the game. Model years '91, '92, '93, and '95. All are capable of wining the FF Challenge.

If you have a Civic with dirty oil, change the oil for a 25HP boost (approximately). To make the races easier, I would spend a little money on a racing chip, a sport exhaust, racing brakes, a sport suspension, and a close ratio transmission. If you have deep pockets go for the sport clutch, the sport flywheel and a 1.5 way ltd. slip diff.

At this level of tune the Twin Ring Motegi races are doable and you will get about 100 to 110 A-spec points (depending upon the lineups you face). If you are struggling, toss on S3 tires (though this will drop the A-spec points).

Good luck

Back on topic: Losses

I wouldn't worry too much about the win ratio. Only the very best drivers can maintain the ratio at 100%. My win ratio is slightly over 80%, but that doesn't really tell the full story because it doesn't count all the times that I lost a race but re-set the console before saving the game. My "real" win ratio is probably only 30 to 40%.

Also, I find that I would rather jump back into the car immediately after a close loss and take down the car that beat me, rather than wait for the game to reset. Of course, if I lost miserably,:yuck: I do more testing or practice first.

^Honda Power was wondering if this race could be won at Motegi with just a racing muffler and racing brakes, not all those additional parts.

I think it's possible for sure. Takes skill, tho.

You can't personally delete your own posts. Ask a moderator to help you merge your posts. They're more than willing to help you if you make a mistake but if you constantly double post then you will be punished because double posting is pointless, takes up server space and people get annoyed with it. UNLESS you are either trying to make two seperate points of conversation, and/or there's been plenty of time between posts (I usually make sure there's atleast a 24-48hr time delay between posts) then don't double post. :)

The last thing I'll ask offtopic... does it change something if you buy a civic with 10.000 km or a civic with less, even if you change the oil?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad English...

Because I just lost two in the Japan Championship (2nd and 3rd respectively), and I was about ready to give up on this game.

SHOULD i expect to lose?

yes, winning isnt neccesarily everthing in GT4 and you sure arent gonna win every race. is it possible yea sure its nothing to have 100% wins, but that could mean alot of restarts and quits to get it tho unless your as graceful as it takes to master the game and every race and scenario. thats the beauty of championship series, you can will 4/5 and still become champ and 8/10 with maybe a 3rd and 4th place finish. so no dont give up, losing a race is as common place on GT4 as is tuning.
