In car is another great idea that many people have brought up. I only play in cockpit cam so it would be nice to see the photomode level details of the cockpits.

Ofcourse photomode has to evolve. There's so many possibilities:

Multiple cars
Interiors
Able to open doors, bonnet, hatch, etc.
Adjustable time of day, weather
Props

Actually they should just let you import your own pictures and put gamecars in them. I'd like to take a picture of a Ferrari on my own driveway for example.

I'd love Photomode to be improved.

In particular, I'd love to see the option to take long exposures, so we can take pictures like this:

Of course I'd like photomode to be improved.
Great idea lain, long exposures would be brilliant along with multiple cars and more locations, bring back the grand canyon from GT4!:D

Oh, and come on PD; give us a location that's just a studio space. We know you can do it - it's in the dealership, already - so give the players access. Same with all those Prologue locations that show up in the main menu.

Additionally to a studio (possibly with customizable background) and those Prologue locations, I'd like to see some more gritty or industrial locations (such as GT4's fish market) as well.
A moody underground car park seems an obvious location to me or an old scrapyard for example.
The current GT5 locations are mostly all either very glamorous, beautiful or monumental and somehow feel like unlikely places (in most circumstances) to find a parked car to photograph in real life.
I mean, it often makes the photos look very staged which isn't bad but not always what you'd want to achieve.

Absolutely 👍

The variety on offer in GT4's Photo Travel locations was far better. Giving us more options (especially ones with long-exposure light streaks like GT4's, if we don't get the option of creating them ourselves) would be fantastic. An urban setting is definitely needed - though, judging by the NSX trailer, we may be getting one, eventually.

One thing that struck me as very odd in GT5 is that there was only one woman. Hopefully that'll be fixed in GT6.

Long ago I speculated this was for two reasons:
- It's an all ages game and PD wanted to play safe
- They have to sell the game in middle eastern/arabic countries and PD wanted to play safe

What, women aren't suitable for minors? I doubt that.

As for the second part, that is just sad if true.👎

Not directly, but by doing so they remove any possible excuse for concerned moms to write complaint letters to Sony along the lines of "this 3+ game contains women depicted in a sexualized manner and this is not good for my children". Or similar scenarios that can happen in the western market.

By just having normal women dressed in normal clothing walking about in a photomode location?

It's not car show models I'm talking about.

Once you give players the chance to produce game content that can potentially creatively show people (women in particular) in a sexually suggestive manner, you just know that it is exactly what will happen. This can potentially interfere with the "ages 3+" rating this game has and that Sony/PD want to maximize sales worldwide.

Just speculating, not saying this is the actual reason for PD's strange choice, but it seems likely to me.

I wish it was easier to use. If anyone has played forza, the photomode may not be as indepth, but it's very user friendly and you can still get good photos. But every time a change is made, it's right there. You can see the changes right in front of you. I also liked how it save the last settings you have. I really never got into GT5's photo mode because I had to drive the car, park it where I wanted for about 3 seconds, drive to another spot, repeat. Lots of shots can be missed like that. Forza's was drive around, stop, press pause, take picture, move, repeat. Very simple and easy to use.

Ideally, like Tornado touched on, there could be two modes; the current, photography-term-heavy mode, and a simpler, slider-based mode such as Forza's. Sliders, especially ones that show the results on screen right away instead of the "processing" time we currently have, would be far more user-friendly for casuals.

And yeah, being able to access it from the Pause menu would be hugely handy 👍

I think the ability to add flash or lighting would be cool. I want to expose for the sky, or a sunset, yet not have my subject be so dark. If thats possible, that would be sweet.

Yep, would be great!

Also, longer exposures. Like up to ten seconds. It would probably take some time to render that though.
