Shouting at Bob out loud...

Hi All

Ive been having a stab at b-spec the last few days as ive got a sick bug and cant use my wheel for fear of not getting up on time to get to the loo when i need to :yuck: Ive got two drivers, one level 8 and one level 9, Im level 11 and Level 17 in A-spec.

Over the last 2 days ive shouted a few different things at Bob and thought i would share them with you all.

Most common are:

"OVERTAKE dont brake and fall in behind!"
"why are you braking for a turn that doesn't exist!"
"speed up!"
"i swear to god if you pull up along side rather then slipstream.... oh you just did..."
"if you spin now, im going to kill myself"
"dont powerslide! its not big or clever it just wastes time!"

any others that you guys shout at him?

any others that you guys shout at him?
🤬

Or my favorite: 🤬 🤬

It doesn't help when one of your Bob's is named Fuchs, either.

But seriously, they/he will get better. All six of mine are currently at either level 35 or 36 and are easily faster than I am, especially with the X2010. Just have a look through the threads (like this one) for some tips on training. 👍

I just completed Bspec. I didn't have a lot of these issues. Must be lucky that I picked guys with Japanese last names lol.

yes i have read numerous threads about how bob will eventually get better. its just getting there! i dont think trying to level 2 bobs at the same time was a good idea though, im just concentrating on my better driver now. and grinding events that have a decent exp. reward.

I think Bob learnt Every Swear word known in the UK from me during his Career , the Other 5 Bob's learnt a few aswell .

Am I glad its all over now though

I hate my level 10 bob, my level 2 bob more so but level 10 should no better, Tsukba on the 90s japanese challenge he was in a 3000GT with over 300BHP and he kept on failing to overtake the 1st place car which was just a celica (late eighties/early 90s one) after 20 oppertunities to outbrake the celica (where im in utter despair) he finally goes for it, gets to the apex and the celica is on the outside a car length behind, then bob suddenly brakes mid corner and yields the position back to the celica...I could shout at Kaz out loud never mind bob. They're terrible.

Another massive example of stupidity (and this happens a lot) is when bob sort of half spins out and ends up on the very inside of the corner at the beginning of the straight (several metres from the racing line)

What does he do? He puts on full steering lock towards the racing line and gives it some welly, wasting even more speed. Its hateful

I had to delete my first Bob since I didn't care much for his specs and he ended up drifting in almost all curves during his first and second races. He managed to win the first, but he couldn't handle the second.

Since I hate when Bob loses a race( for me it's a loss of time, you keep giving him commands, while his enormous stupidity makes him brake on straights ), I always give him the best car for a particular race. Planning to get a X1 somehow so I don't even need to bother giving him commands if the race has no limitations.

I'm currently at level 10, so does Bob, and I'm aware that when he develops he will drive much better, but I just can't stand watching him making absurd things during the race just to not win at the end.

For any F1 buffs I have P.Martini (Pierluigi Martini), E.Bernard (Eric Bernard) and M.Schuhmacher (Self-explanitory) and I also have I.Rush (Ian Rush - legendary Wales striker)

All of these have been on the receiving end of my verbal attacks, mostly "Why the 'F' do you go so slow into the 'F'ing corner, then smash the throttle as soon as you're at the apex and spin out?!" or "Jesus Christ, don't defend, whatever you do! Just let him overtake.." and "Overtake him for 'F''s Sake! Why the 'F' are you just lounging behind him at a pedestrian pace?!"

Their levels range from 15-23 and you can notice an improvement, but I still find it dire, no matter what the set-up or car. x3 ala GT4 would be handy.

I was trying to hire a new driver last week and passed by B. Lombardi. Later on, I realized my mistake!:ouch: There was an "A. Lombardi" in real-life F1 racing you see. Alessandro Lombardi. Would have been cool to have a B. Lombardi. :(

On topic: Um. I can't print what I usually say to Bob. Usually something in the vein of: NO YOU 🤬 PEICE OF 🤬 THAT'S NOT CALLED RACING THAT'S CALLED :censored:ING SUNDAY DRIVING!!!!

But sometimes I also compliment my drivers, too. :D They sometimes surprise me when they do just what I would do, or something other than I would do, but it happens to work.

I never publicly compliment them. I use the disciplinarian approach. Inside, I'll be delighted Martini managed to lap the Vertigo without dropping 3 places, or be thrilled he was brave enough to drive round the outside of a 2J, but I never let him know it.

Also, I've noticed the surnames Watts, Harvey and Menu so there's touring car names up for grabs there too.. I'll admit I've changed the name of my PS3 to 'T.Harvey' or 'P.Radisich' so I can drive as my favourites and have the names fit in... [/Tragic]

Ah...the tough love approach. :D Funny, I had a boss just like you when I was like 18 or 19. Never said when I did something right, but I could tell from the look on his face when he was pleased. :)

Ive been trying the vitz race and he likes to stop when hes done turning. like a complete stop. and i dont think he knows how to go around people
