A new comfortable chair, ordered Saturday, arrived today.

Now I just need to somehow get rid of the annoying smell the (imitated?) leather has.
Edit: Vinegar and water in equal parts seems to have taken the worst of the smell.

The urban legend is that lots of kids in America used to put drinks on the original NES as a coaster, and would often spill them and damage it. To get around this for the SNES, Nintendo's American division did a much more angular version compared to Japan and Europe, which meant kids couldn't stack things on it due to the awkward shape.

It was all we knew, pre-internet days and coming from the red button NES, it seemed completely normal to us anyways. I quite like the purple actually, it's the RGYB that is weird. Although, my 3DS has the RGYB buttons, so we got them eventually.

Meet my new work shoes, same as my old ones. The old ones are being demoted to around-town putzing after I might have gotten a spork wedged between the sole and the rest of the shoe. Have old work boots that are a foot insert away from pinch-hitting in the meantime.

I actually don't mind the look of the purple buttons on the N/A version of the SNES. It's the weird shaped console they got, that I can't wrap my head around.

Finally upgraded from the G27 that's been collecting dust lately.

Everything mounted up with the clamps until I get a better drill. Never had use for anything more powerful than the cheap Black and Decker I have in my apartment, but it's not so good going through metal.
