The local car audio store had a massive sale.

I got this Vibe CVEN V slimline subwoofer.

And a Nakamichi 2ch Wiring kit.

I have been wanting a dashcam for a while now - and couldn't pass up a Goluk T1 on ebay for $15, when they usually go for A$130 :)

Will fit it in a few weeks when I have my left hand back in use.

Here is a how to guide on hardwiring it I made a while back for a subaru forum.
Same steps apply regardless of car, And since your dashcam is not a 2ch version you can skip the steps for the rear dashcam(which are steps 5~12)

For step 22
Instead of slipping it between the weather stripping and the A pillar, you can remove the A pillar and use cable clips to hold it down behind the airbag.

Bought some tacky LED strip lights for my bedroom from Home Bargains for £15, only to find that there were bits missing and I couldn't use them. I took them back to the shop this morning on my way to work but I got a replacement instead of a refund. I got home and thought I'd put them under my bed and see what it looked it - and it was pretty disappointing. So, I put them behind the headboard of my bed instead and, hey presto, it looks brilliant :D I wanted either a cyan-blue or purple light, but these lights can do multiple colours including those, and even comes with a wee remote so I can switch them on and off from my bed :) The purple light looks really cool, as does the cyan, but it's really the white light that looks most impressive - so after thinking I was crazy for paying £15 for them, I'm now really quite happy with them. Now I just hope they don't end up burning my flat down.

Figured I'd try out monoprice's new coaxial monitors.

Hundred bucks off for cyber monday. Can't be worse than what I'm using now. Hopefully a budget KEF killer.

@Touring Mars - why do you want a back-lit bed? ;)
Haha, no reason other than just wanting to have some cool lighting in my room...

Sadly, it lasted about 2 hours before the controller broke :( I thought it was just the battery, but it turns out it isn't, so for the 2nd time in 3 days I'll need to swing by Home Bargains on my way to work and this time I'll be asking for a refund. It's a shame because it did everything I wanted the lights to do, but alas they are now effectively unusable.

A gentleman I met on a 1st gen Cummins forum recently purchased a 2015 Ram 3500 Cummins dually and he has expressed interest in purchasing new wheels. I told him if he did, I'd love to buy his stock Alcoas and he said he'd sell them to me as soon as he purchases another set of wheels. We agreed on a price and I've already paid him half as a deposit. I'll be purchasing some Michelin LTX tires to mount on the wheels and then I'll wait for the current tires on my truck to wear out before changing the new set over. When all is said and done, my truck should look almost exactly like this...

The only difference will be my truck has full length running boards and a cab visor. Other than that, this is the twin of my truck.

Some Black Friday/Cyber Monday bargains:

Wanted to hold onto my old Z3 Compact for a few more months, but once the screen literally began to peel off I couldn't really wait around any longer. I'd already been eyeing the P10 and Honor 9 since the summer, so decided to wait until Monday for what ended up being 25% off a new handset:

Context: Tagged along with parent's Christmas shopping at Walmart, took advantage of extra 15% off on top of stepdad's employee discount, this was ~$30 of the final tally.

Had I had about an additional $1500 lying about and the room, would've added in a HP Omen desktop w/GTX 1070.

I decided it was time to get my fingers used to a normal guitar (I play bass which does not help with normal guitar “pain”). So bought a budget beast, same make as my favoured bass (a 7 string!). About a tenth the cost of a Gibson. Decent spec as it has Grover Tuners and Wilkinson pickups and a fitted hard case!

One of my Cyber Monday purchases

I do a little magic in my free time, and I like using something other than standard blue and red cards.

These things are :censored:ing LOUD! They sound pretty good. Anything was an upgrade lol. They're pretty big though. I have to put them horizontal to get them to fit under my monitors on my desk. Kinda why I wanted to go coaxial.

Monoprice has new subs that I'm interested in but I don't really NEED a fourth sub in the theater room.
