I got a parka like this at my Military Surplus for $90. Ignore the random ass in the picture, that's not me. I found this pic on Google Search.

It's got to have more than just exhaust done to it if it's pushing 300+ to the wheels. LT1s were rated 285Hp at the crank by the factory, & I believe run 250-260Whp on average.

All this is true, I've seen it over and over, your car may have the typical cam/intake/headers... ah, except that it's the LS1 the ones that have aftermarket intakes and the combo I am recalling right now, now that I remember... in the case of your LT1 you're stuck with the stock flat intake, which means there must be something else in the engine to be pushing 300+ to the tires. Which is awesome, of course.

Got me this last weekend. Just coming from the pad, pretty tough, and I am about 20-30% slower now per lap!!

What game, though? GT3 and GT4 you go slower with a wheel, so I've been told. However, GT5P and the other PSN GT games, you go faster. I can't confirm this, since I don't own a wheel. I'm disabled and they don't make one for me anyway, but I will be getting a wheel that has gas and brake levers on the wheel. If this is going to make me slower, I might as well never bother with it.

Have you tried the other GT games, yet? I see you have a PS2 in the pic. Do you have a PS3?

Do you have a PS3?
He has a PSN. :dopey:

We just bought the kids' Halloween costumes for next year - Jango Fett (orig. $40), a blaster ($9), Captain America ($20) plus assorted other items for a total of less than $40. I love 75% off. :D

Yeah, but low 270s are/were common enough that getting numbers like that wasn't unheard of.
I mean, they aren't like the LS1 Camaros (where GM underrated them by so much that you could get rear-wheel numbers higher than the numbers GM said they made at the crank), but it still happened occasionally.

I don't know what my point is with this post.

I found it really depends on your approach. You have to learn to play the game completely differently to how you played it in the past. For some games (Gran Turismo 3, TXRD2, Need For Speed Pro Street) I personally am able to do that and with a wheel can go faster than (or at least match) my times with a controller. For others (Gran Turismo 4, Enthusia, Need For Speed Underground 2), I can't get used to the change and I'm consistently slower.

I was the same way, now I'm a little faster, probably helps I can actually tolerate doing manual on the DFGT where I never could get comfortable doing it with a pad.

Just have to hope you predicted the right sizes.

We went one size larger than they wore this year so we should be good. Although my son has outgrown his shoes we bought right before school already. Two whole months.

Think you're right. I think it's more around 280hp to the wheels tbh. I'm just restating what the seller told me either way, it's definitely faster than what I had expected.

Here's a nice little video. Pretty much all the simple bolt ons added on this video is what my car has. Not sure what type of tune the car on the video has, but mine has been tuned on 94 Octane running 10:5:1 compression. Let's just say I've had to put gas in this car twice in the past 2 day's I've owned this car...

.

It will take allot of practice, but I hope to get there in-time.

I have only used it for a couple of hours on GT5P, so there is plenty of time for improvement. I am away from home with work, won't be back till christmas, so wont get much time to practice. I am sure eventually I will get faster but I have used a pad since GT1. Where I am staying my friend has PS3/GT5P so will get a few goes every now and again.

PS

I dont have a PS2, thats just the DFGT box, if that is what you mean? I have a PS3 at home.

Yes.
I project my energy into the bike, and all is good. My projections teach me.
Plants are alive and project themselves into my room. More and more (look at it!) They make me laugh just by being themselves. My leafy friends. They look after me in their own green way.

Also possibly explains why you have no seat.

Actually I do thanks and usually the more expensive Limited/Collector Editions, I just prefer to try more than 30 mins or 1 level before I decide I want it or not.

Of course you do. And I'm sure the software companies would have no problem with you 'trying' their games before you buy.

"Theft officer? No, I was just 'trying' "

I haven't even installed F1 and WRC yet and as for MOH, I only installed it yesterday when the reason for my Original post in here arrived.

I'm not stealing anything, the original game is bought and paid for. What I've done is no different to a mate lending me one of his games, me liking said game so I then go out and buy said game.

Damn Pirate.

I don't distribute them what so ever, thanks.

I end up buying 90% of what I try, the other 10% I don't like get used as coasters or target practice.
About 70% of what I do buy I wouldn't have bought if I hadn't have tried it.

For crying out loud, give the guy a break. I do exactly the same thing. Why the hell would I want to spend 50 bucks on a game that I have never had the chance to even try? At least in the Pentium 3/4 days nearly every game had a demo you could try. There's little of that left.
