The rest of my bike is nothing to shout about and the forks are '08 or '09 so they're not even that new but I am chuffed I got this level of fork for the amount I was willing to pay, fingers crossed they're ok when they arrive. Also for comparrision a brand new set of Fox Float 32 forks which are the best a man can get (guess where Floats gets his username from) will set you back at least £700

Picked this up for my parents last night, 01 Rio RS. $120

Looks rough, but living in this province, most used cars are, plus now we don't have to cram 5 people into a Sunfire coupe...

Did you miss a zero in that price or did you really score it for $120? If so, who cares if it "looks rough"! 👍

Not a typo, actually scored it for $120. The previous owner just picked up a brand new SUV, and he didn't want it anymore, so I asked him what he was doing with it, and he was just gonna scrap it. It just had about $800 worth of work done to it as well, like brakes, and gas tank and such (water got into the fuel system)

Whoa, well done DKX! The cheapest car I bought was about the equivalent in pound sterling and it was nowhere near as nice as that 👍. (Lada Samara for the record)

What's the mileage on that little beasty?

130,930 km's.

Not bad for an 01!

For $120 that can't be beat.

It's only got a couple little issues too, the trunk can't be opened unless you climb through the back seat and pop it (wire or something might be loose) and the stereo doesn't work, but other then that it's perfect. First non american car we've owned too, so the parents are a little worried with how it'll be, but I'm sure they'll learn to love it

Yeah $120.00 for an entire running car is a killer deal. I can't even buy 1 tire for my Camaro or the Mustang for that price.

Looking for Sound quality? This doesn't have it.

I bought it mainly for practical use; commuting to work.

iPod's standard headphones dish out little bass, and you can barely hear a thing unless you really turn it up outdoors or on the bus. So with these, the added bass and the in-ear buds cover that.

And when I get to work, I tuck them away in my bag. When I take it out after, the cord's all tangled so I also got this because the cord is thicker than most headphone cords, thicker rods = less likely to twist and warp.

The SQ I anticipated to be over-muffled with bass. It's more apparent when you turn the volume higher, the treble goes whack and you start picking up noise. So don't buy these if you're looking for good quality buds...

^ People still have things attached to cables? I though this was the modern world . Can't imagine a home without wireless utensils to be honest, but I got to say G.T, that's a mean looking keyboard if ever there was one.

How much does it retail for?

Have you seen the new Lego Unimog?

Have you seen this? That's where Lego is making waves. Got to get me one of those!

I hate it when I'm getting into a good flow typing up an essay and the batteries suddenly run out. Or if I'm in the middle of a firefight in an FPS and the same thing happens to my mouse. :grumpy:

That hasn't happened to me yet, I've no idea what kind of power my mouse + keyboard run off of (maybe they're magic) but they've done OK for the last few month. I'm sure you'll know when I encounter this problem because I'll rant about it for weeks.

Angry Edit: My X10 system just buggered up on me. I must have cursed it through this post. It no longer recognises my voice commands, that means I'll have to manually switch off my appliances tonight. :grumpy:

Relieved Edit: Mic wasn't on. :)

Well, I ended up returning the RAM I got and got store credit instead. Decided to pick up a new keyboard with it. I ended up getting the Razer BlackWidow. The keys feel a little bit funny, but I think its just that i'm not used to them yet. I love the sound they make though. Thinking about getting keycaps for it. I just don't know where to start looking.

*waits for Azuremen to come in here*

Also. Pic's:
I wish that I could do something about the cables.

Have you seen the new Lego Unimog? - it looks epic. Price is just as epic though.

Beat me to it cracker, the Unimog is awesome

Yeah the Unimog is epic, apparently its the biggest Technic set they have ever made with electronics and pneumatics. I would be great to get but its quite expensive. I'm really pleased with the supercar's complexity and it will be a nice build.

Have you seen this? That's where Lego is making waves. Got to get me one of those!

Yeah mindstorms has been around a while, its gone so professional grade that you can do so much cool stuff with it.

@Robin ::drool::drool::drool::drool:

That thing has adjustable ride height!? .... Slam it.

It doesn't have adjustable height, just normal suspension but it has an electronically operated hood, doors and rear spoiler

Robin.

Although it causes more of a wire tangle fest my setup already has I love wired peripherals still. I have used wireless before and thought it was fine but I am lazy enough not to want to charge rechargeable batteries and put them in when they run out, or to find I never recharged them and have to find other batteries etc etc. Wired is just less hassle IMO.

And it retails for £100. It's rather pricey, but I managed to get hold of it for £68. It's a dream to type on - a leap ahead of my old G11. :)

My G11 maybe on sale on this forum in the near future - keep your eyes open!

Edit: The BlackWidow is sweet! But I couldn't justify the price over that for no LCD screen and IMO looks worse than the G510. Supposed to be amazing to type on though!

@ Robin

Finished building mine in 10 hours it's great fun and quite large.

Yeah I've heard that its quite big especially seeing pictures of it in situ like yours. One thing I was wondering about was how well the stickers went on and are they a decent quality? I kinda wish Lego would screen print onto the plastic instead.

@Robin :

Either that... Or the wheel can pivot up and down. Was just curious because I'm kinda interested in buying one now :D

I'm quite sure that it just means there is manual suspension and the steering but seeing as its Lego you could add anything you want, I have another Technic motor that I might use to power the pistons or steering.

Robin.
