It's obviously a optically compromised lens, but I think it will work well with the style I am working on and provide some unique and interesting results.

Went and got myself a bunch of things lately.

The Steam version. Including the Season Pass. I'd normally never do that, especially considering it's actually a rather mediocre game, but dang it, it's Dragon Ball. That's basically my childhood in video game form, so I had to have it.

Adidas ZX700. Had to replace my old Air Max 90s (started to fall apart after about two and a half years) and these are even more comfortable but lighter and less bulky. Cheaper as well and they don't come with the same Chav image... Got a good deal on them, but the store had to specifically order a pair in my size and preffered colourway. Should get them by tomorrow or Friday.

I need to dust off my tripod. I screwed the 500mm on it, but all I see when I point it at Jupiter is a streak/smudge.

Shutter time needs to be increased by silly amounts. Excellent.

Didn't think I'd be buying anything else today but just booked two tickets for the BFI screening of Blade Runner Final Cut. It's being screened using the 4k masters and will be from a digital source rather than a 35mm print.

As I never got to see this when it was at the cinema (original cut) as I was too young, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

I still have an external X-Fi, so I can compare both cards in the next weeks. After one day I prefer the sound of the X-Fi, but the headphone amp of the STX II totally destroys the X-Fi.

It's the mini-ITX one. Same performance, only 17cm in length. Makes it easier to fit, that's neat seeing how many HDD / SSD slots are filled up in my PC.
