Sounds as good as it looks, I presume? :)

Mmmmmm..... It sounds awesome! It will continue to mature in it's tone for the next few weeks as the varnish and glue settles. It will continue to get warmer in tone as the instrument ages but it won't be as drastic as the next 6 weeks or so.

Classical gas?

More Jazzy gas, but definately some good ole classical gas for sure! It's been 24 years since I played an upright. It feels like an old friend. :)

Somehow I looked at that photo and I saw a hobbit playing a normal-sized violin. :D

Then I remembered that you're kinda big and that thing is massive. Must sound awesome indoors. No complaints from the neighbours yet, I presume?

I may be barefoot but my feet aren't that hairy. :D What can I say, I like to be comfortable. ;)

It is big. The neck is a 42" scale though it's only a 3/4 size bass as most uprights are. The body is a little deeper and wider than most which gives it great volume and projection. It really sounds cool and will be extreemly fun and gratifying getting to know this instrument again!

He's been watching too many Federico Malaman videos.

Frederico is a freak man! A freak in such an awesome and fresh way. I love his almost lackadaisical approach to his incredible arrangements and playing style. Dude's awesome!

This is the best **** ever. Chloroxylenol for the win. Has a distinctive smell but totally gets rid of any shoe odor. Big improvement over regular talc.

Ordered another vinyl from mondo and waiting for another limited edition to come on sale today.

Nice choice on the Streamlight. I have the 1L and 2L and am quite happy with both. 👍
Yeah, I actually have had one for the past few years. Decided to get a new one after I shattered the glass lens of my old one the other day lol. Very good lights indeed.

How are the Duratrax paints?
They seem to be about the same as the Testors Pactra paints, since supposedly Duratrax is using the same formula. They still don't have the same color variety of Pactra yet.

Bought a set of Cutco knives several years ago and have been truly enjoying them. They are starting to get dull so I picked this up. Works perfect especially for the serrated edge knives!!

When my dad was a teen, his first job was actually selling Cutco knife sets. We still have our set and use it regularly.

That was 1974 when he sold those, by the way.

My brother was a sales rep for Cutco for a while. That's how I ended up with these knives.

I have been through many different knives over my lifetime and the Cutco knives are the best and last I have purchased. Just pure quality. They offer lifetime warranty and also offer lifetime sharpening but you have to pay for the shipping if you don't know a local sales rep. My brother no longer has the Cutco sharpening tools. So I just figured this would be the next best thing to get my own sharpener. I just spend a couple minutes per knife and they are as good as new again. 👍 Usually I would use a wet stone but this works great for the serrated edge knives.

Picked up a 40w Fender bass amp and a strap for my bass :). I have a small apartment so its perfect as I don't want to rattle the neighbors windows. It's still plenty loud for a 40w and the sound is so clear. It also has a headphone jack so I'm able to use my Turtle Beach headset, it sounds great.

You can't see the strap but it's just a plain strap in dark brown, to match the color of my bass.
