Yeah I take full advantage of being in California...I met almost everyone of my favorite musician and DJ. Now that Im a lot older and the scene has changed I reflect on how lucky I was to be around that...still am.
Flylo is a funny dude, I met him a lot too post Dilla passing...he's always down to talk video games too, I havent seen him in a looong time, last when I chilled with him he was go on and on about Devil may cry. Also was probably one of the few that was super into anime like myself. .
I had to stop myself early on from buying that many records...its not fun when you have to move a ton of vinyl, I developed a method and it still sucks. I heard if you put them into storage they will likely get some kind of mold damage or eaten by mice/rats, was told a huge amount of Peanut Butter Wolfs collection got lost to mold when he put his records in storage. Actually heard that Madlib has a pretty nice house with multiple rooms dedicated to all his records.
That Dilla changed my life shirt also made huge waves out here ...Don't know why I never bought one
Did you see that recent documentry on Hulu about Dilla? I cried like a baby at the end it was soo beautiful
J Dilla’s legacy will be explored in a new documentary premiering on Hulu and FX in April, featuring exclusive access to the late producer's family.
