Apparently one of the valve stem caps on my car went missing. May as well replace 'em all

I went on a book buying spree. Some boxsets and a few others.

Roadside Picnic - The inspiration for the famous 1979 Stalker film and the Video Game series. I'm probably going to get som of the Strugatsky Brothers other books. Hard To Be A God, The Doomed City and Monday Starts on Saturday in particular.

I have always had an interest in Chernobyl and the Cold War/Soviet Union so I got some books covering the Subject. Playing Stalker 2 has awakened the interest and curiosity.

My snowblower died yesterday. The entire auger assembly seized and broke the front gear box. I'm not entirely sure how, but the thing is nearly 30 years old so maybe it was time. The parts to fix it are around $600 and that didn't seem worth it, so I just went ahead and bought a new Ariens 24" Compact. The push button start will be awesome since I can just plug it in and have it fire right up. I order some drift cutters and chains for it too.

I love it when countries who get real snow and have to own real serious bits of kit to tackle it, and we in the UK hear of a slight bit of snow (not even 1cm) and the whole country goes into panic mode.

We don't get 'big weather' of any discription here and snow, in the last decade or so, has been very thin on the ground. I bought winter tyres for my last car and i think i got to use them in the snow once in three years! It's hard to be prepared for something which is far from guaranteed.

And despite getting several feet of snow each year, I've never had snow tires for any of my vehicles.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered a new DD wheel base and wheel for my rig.

A Moza R9 V2 and CS VP2 rim are on order, so my trusty T300 will be getting retirement after many, many years of service.

It does mean no more PlayStation compatibility, but given the fact that the vast majority of my rig time is on PC its a route I've been strongly considering for a long time.

Kiddo wanted a bike for Christmas. Decathlon provided.

My driving shoes (last year’s Xmas gift from wifey) needed some new laces so I got some quick lace things. Also from decathlon.

Not pictured: a sun hat, 5 harlequin fish and 2 aquarium plants for my school tank.

I bought another watch  because my case had 1 gap. Top row, 4th one along.
I decided in October when I partially retired I'd start collecting a few watches. But now 2 months later, I've got 12 and I'm done.

I also started buying 4k Blu Rays. I haven't watched most of the 50+ I've recently bought but hey, let's buy another 27...

In my defence, they're's £50 off at Amazon and it's only 9 films though. :banghead:

032c. Mainly because I wanted the essay on Aphex Twin. However it’s got some other interesting articles on Ferrari & Rudi Gernreich.

Some excellent photography and what seems like good long form articles / essays.
