I've wanted Ratchet for a while so I finally picked it up. I also thought it was about time I discovered what Elden Ring is all about.

I finally had a chance to organize my collection.

All the cameras arrived! I've been shooting the Olympus Mju-II lately which has been such a joy having such a tiny capable camera in a pocket.

Also bought another camera by accident, and by accident I mean I didn't check the auction on eBay. It was listed with 3 hours left and the bid was at $20, I increased it to $30 thinking my bid would get sniped last minute because it's eBay lol...

Well anyway two days later the Konica C35 E&L (or C35 V in other markets) arrived. It's a pseudo rangefinder in that it's actually more like a point and shoot.

Neat little thing I absolutely love it.

Bought some extra film too that I plan on properly shooting not treating it like test rolls (like my rolls of ISO 200 Gold that expired since 1994).

Got Portra 400, Cinestill 800T, and Ilford HP5 (being delivered tomorrow).

Like I said, impulse purchases are out of the way for this year.

My main hobby when I left school in 1980 was photography. I worked in photographic retail from 1981 to 2003 so this is like a trip down memory lane for me. I owned a camera from just about every big manufacturer during that time in 35mm, 120 and APS formats. That Minolta 35mm compact looks like the Riva 75w I had for a while when I wanted a 28mm AF zoom. I think I had a Mju-II for a while as well. I bailed out just as everything was starting to go digital as I had lost interest. Even now, 20 years later, the last thing I want to do is get a camera out.

It's about dying. A lot.

But it's also fantastic. 👍
I'm well aware 😄 That's kind of what's put me off all this time on From Software games. I have no problem in dying a lot (I like Roguelike/Lite games) But I just thought it could be too difficult and in turn frustrating. I can't ignore how universally acclaimed and loved the games are though (Especially Elden Ring) so I owe it myself to give it a proper go.

Finally got tired of trying to find a gaming headset that could do it all(the AudioTechnica M50xSTS were really close), when I realized I didn't have to. Instead, I got multiple things that each do one thing really well.

Sennheiser HD660S2, FIIO K11 DAC, and a Sennheiser Profile USB Mic with a boom.

It's not the beefiest DAC/AMP ever, but for $130 it's really, really good. I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm extremely happy with the way it sounds with music, games, and movies. And thanks to the mic I don't have to switch back to a gaming headset when talking to people.
