ZOMG!!!!!!!!!

Cereboobs, absolutely CRUSHING one out of the park!!!!!! Un-freaking-believable dude!

I have to say, that Matsuri was by far one of the funnest drift sessions I've had to date. I get shivers thinking back to the cruise down the Mulsane to the "spot"...cheesy, iknowright, but still....that setting, those cars, it was perfect. All you guys definitely know how to have a good time as well. Sign me up for the next one lol 👍

Twitch & Seal, very nice pictures!

@ Seal, bottom pic is sexy! Looks like the pit wall thing on long beach.. Needs drift santa standing there! :D

I don't see how people drift with the wing on, especially with a wheel, with the wing the car corrects itself too much.

Dope shots Twitcher

Not sure if the wings do much at 40mph......how fast you going?

Last couple of pages of this thread have been superb.....just keeps getting better round here:cool:

Thanks guys :)

@Seal, I really like that first shot, great colour combo!

@Frozzy, that C63 is de-tuned to 650bhp, is on CM, with the downforce set to 20, and that back end is still all over the place lol. That thing is torque monster though. I used to not use wings at all (hate the way most of them look), but now, I use them on almost everything, as I like the extra grip they give.

Edit: @daft biker, in real life, you're right, a wing wouldn't make much difference at 40mph (and less effective when the car is sideways). But in GT5, they add significant grip to the back end. Let's you drift slightly faster, and helps you pick up more speed during transitions and exiting corners.

I actually dislike how effective the wings actually are for drifting, as I don't like having to rely on them. But in my opinion, not using one (on a comp spec car at least) is really shooting yourself in the foot. I know there's a few guys out there that have some very fast cars that don't use a wing...but those guys are tuning and drift mastas lol.

Loving the dmax pics I need 2 come drift with you guys some time have yous seen anything of pulsarruss not seen him online for a while

That's not me.....I'm a more of tuning out and drifting off masta:lol:

Interesting post though.

I'm simililar in that I tend not to like the look of the GT auto rear wings but as I don't really do the online thing I've never exerimented with them on drift cars. I like the effect they have on some cars I've used for racing but it sounds like they are worth playing about with on drift cars too....other than just slapping one on 'cos I think it looks better that way:dopey:. Is a speed 6 a good a car as any for experimenting with aero on or would you recommend something else?

Have noticed the snap back thing when racing cars with lots of downforce at speed though.....feels a bit like the aerodynamics pull the car back back into shape. Maybe it's the drag on the rear pulling it back in at speed?

That's a better way of putting it. I use a wing on pretty much all my online cars, which are the cars I use for tandems and comps (if aero is allowed). Most of my cars that I use for offline stuff (which is mostly photo shoots), or for online photo shoots with friends, I leave the wing off, for looks.

I just find that for following in a tandem, the little extra grip you get from the wing really helps. That, and the vast majority of people online use them too...keeping up to a car with a wing in a car without can be tough (it definitely can be done, but is far from easy).

Anyways, sorry for getting a little off-topic...

'Pac, e_dub, and Cerebus, amazing stuff by all of you! The way this thread has grown and over the last 3-4 months is awesome. Sick cars, sick drifting, sick photography!
