THE--HOG
Hi guys, been playing online with my g25 quite a bit and am having fun most of the time, but i am sick of no good cheats that just ram you off over and over and over again and ruin wot would have been a good race just because there pants.
And fair enuf i understand when people are fighting for the same line accidents will happen, and you do get points for spinning people.
But some of these guys just plain old take the Micky mouse and its only because there pants at driving even after they ram you off there all over the track trying to stay in front of you.

Like last night i was hosting my own races things were going good there were 5 player and good players too, there were people getting on my bumper but not ramming me off, people were taking each other over on the inside of corners with no contact, the racing was intense and exciting, it was the best game online i had played in yet, real close racing.
But then there was one ass#### who was just ramming people left right and centre no skill at all, all over the place and basically totally ruined wot started as an amazing race.

And wot i was wondering what people would think about starting a friendly racing group up for friendly bouts of happy clean racing.

One of us could host the race for the rest to join.
This way we all get to know were going to have a good race, its a good way to practice racing online with out the heat of being in a competition, we can all request our favorite tracks to race and get to race other people's tracks.
and plus the more people that are up for it the more people there will be to race.
And maybe we could see how it goes see if there is a worthy team that can be built ?.

I play on PS3 online.

So hit me with a replay if anyone is interested not sure if this was a good idea or not just thought i would throw it out there see what people think.

How about asking Father Xmas for a spellchecker and a pair of glasses to re-read the AUP?
At this rate you may not make it here.

Come over to the PC, where you can linda blair to your hearts content with TrackIR, and set up a Tunngle server which idiots can't even see :)

I know what you mean. My online experiences were always bad until I started racing the people on this forum.

Yeah, "Racing Incidents" still happen (especially since you can't look left or right!), but much less often with the people on here.

Check out this thread and add the names to your friends list... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=120468

Ahhh i will sign up to that then finally some good racing. :)
A question tho can people playing online on PC or x box 360 play online with people playing on PS3 ?.

Did not think so, so are the people in the list all PS3 players ?.

Yep. They're all from the same platform. There is exactly one game I know of (shadowrun) that crosses pc/360 and nothing that crosses pc/ps3 or 360/ps3.

You can also disable collisions on the PC version with a little work :)

OK thanks for the help mate, will get my self added to the list and send some add requests.
And looking at the description it looks a load of fun to with the the cruise meets, do any of the cruise meets actually happen.

Hi mate welcome to GTP, i have had a few cruise meets but it always ends up in a race to the line because we are so competitive lol, add me to youre friends list and we will have a few races, Wales versus England lol.

Hahaha that sounds good mate i will add you now.
I am looking forward to this i had another night of crappy racers ramming me and others off the track .
any idea when the next meet is ?.

What i did noticed is that there is not enough good players, with skills to overtake so the easiest way to overtake some one is to slam into their back.

I am very good player so i will always find the opportunity to overtake someone. While my tactic is to let others go in front of me, let them overtake me and i simply follow them, put pressure on them so finally they make mistake and thats it. :) I did learn than on Nordschleife so now thats the only track that im racing. And other thing is to set up the race to more laps than usual. 5 Laps at least, and more. So there is always the way to take the right opportunity even when there is a crash. 5-10 seconds lead or gap between players it's not a disaster on Long races. If you focus and notice than while racing you closing the gap between the guy before you thats a good motivation :)

my psn is nWcPL

Accepted you mate, so got any races planned ?.

Probably not till Sunday (tomorrow), afternoon (my time).
Say about 4:00pm my time 9:00pm your time. I usually like to run races of 5 -10 laps if everybody is of similar skill. And I tend to use Rating 6 - 14 cars most although I don't mind unlimited once in a while. Again a lot depends on how evenly or unevenly matched the drivers are.

Even though I'm as competitive as anyone, I honestly don't get real fussed about winning or losing as long as I'm enjoying the race.

If anyone else will be online at 4:00pm East Coast US time let me know and I'll shoot an invite your way. I have a mic now, and if I can figure out how the 🤬 thing works, you may actually hear me cuss as I hit the Armco!:)

Ha ha OK mate i will be online then so send me an invite and we will play.
And the races suit me perfect most of my favorite car's are rating 6 to 14, and the more laps the merrier for me.

And i also acquired a Sony PS3 head set so will be a good chance for me to test it properly.

Looking forward to it.

If I can get on the PS3 at that time send me an invite. I believe I'm already on your friends list.

Hey, that'd be great! You're a night-owl and I'm usually winding down by the time you get on-line. Any preferrences as to track or car?

I like 6 - 10 cars. I like any track but London River. I usually get on later because that's the only free time I have after dealing with my wife and young son.

This time adjusting is confusing. I am proposing to use this forum time, for example i am in poland so for me is 10:00 AM and forum time is 4:00 AM

If i want to race at 8:00 PM of my time (in europe thats 20:00) that would be 2:00 PM (14:00) of forum time. So if some one host a race let's say about 9 Pm of his time, he should then calculate into a forum time and post that correct hour.

THE HOG send my friend invite please, i find two users hog and thehog, but i just find out that's not you.

And one final thing, maybe it would be much better to race in Time Trial Mode, we could set more laps and then decides who's get the best time during one session. It would help with collisions, for example if we crash on first corner that not will decide who's the winner of that session, because during the race we could still set the good time being last in the grid of players.

Are you guys still playing this game online in private matches? I was going to be picking this game up soon and needed good players to race with. Can we use any car when we play? I would be starting from the beginning of the game since it's a new purchase for me when I get Prologue this weekend. Don't worry I am not a stupid teenager that screams into a mic all the time and rams people well into my 20's now and can behave and act properly.
Manny if you are really from Wilmington that place is only like 45 minutes from here what a small world.

Some good races last night mate, i could not understand you through your Mic though, i will be on tonight around 21.00 UK time, i also prefer the lower rated cars.

Hi mate, i already sent one to you here is mine THE--HOG.

Indeed, the online servers of NFS Shi* have the highest concentration of inbreds ever seen on Earth (followed closely by the ALP).

Being wholly serious, I will say that of 1000 drivers encountered, only 5 will race cleanly and admirably. The rest play bumper-karts, with no respect for people trying to genuinely race (and the game is audacious enough to give them a 'precision badge'). As one of the worst game developers in modern gaming, I ask you EA: Why not just follow Polyphony's practice of making each online car physically transparent? I understand that this common sense would disallow some aspects of an 'aggressive' driving-style, but since hardly anyone actually has an 'aggressive' badge (even though 99.9% of Shi*'s population are just that in spades) I don't think it matters.

When offline mode sucks, pray that online mode provides a safer, more enjoyable haven. If online sucks, then throw the game away without further thought. EA, you're an embarassment.

Yea mate it was good i will be online dot on 9.00.
And don't worry about not understanding me mate i am from newcastle and we are not the easiest people to understand, i will try to speak more clearly for you when i can mate.

But i do think i need to work on some cars all my good cars are rating 13.00 and up, so i will work on some cars for all ratings.
And i think i need a new rating 14.00 car, my Audi r8 is fast and handles well but it over steers a bit and bogs down loosing exit speed:tdown:.
