Came across this new piece of soon to be released hardware (due July).
Sim Racing Hardware (SRH) offer lots of excellent mods for current "wheel products" and lots more for the sim fans who can't quite get enough toys and added realism. Not cheap at £225 but oh my, this is wicked!

SRH are taking pre-orders...

I think this is a great solution and not requiring the hassle of wheel adapters for various rims and potentially seperate purchases of SLI boards. If needing to modify two or more wheel rims it would easily cost more and likely not have all the features of this.

Deffo getting one!

I spotted this a week or do ago on RD. Looks awesome and would be a good replacement for my SLI. Still waiting to see what happens with official or third party CSR Elite rims before I would consider buying.

woww...great solution but oh my,250euro........i'm going to upgrade my pc so in this moment i will go for a simple SLI!

Personally I think it looks horrible :D
It may be functional but I'm not convinced it will fit in with many dedicated rigs (my personal opinion)

It would fit very well with my new home-made cockpit but too bad the cost is prohibitive for me(this month i bought 3monitors,DSD pro-shifter,DSD Button-Box,a new SLI,APELETRIC brake modification and next will be a 1300$ for a new pc:crazy::crazy::crazy:..
You can put it with a wood panel and cover it with a carbon adhesive but like i had said before,it costs too much:tdown:

I would have thought a lot of people would make it the centre piece of a dedicated rig.

It's just my personal opinion ;)

Where would you put it if you wanted to maintain fairly realistic/sensible ratios, between the wheel and screen? ..if so it would be too wide and you would not be able to see all the information.

I think this is awesome, don't see anything wrong with its looks and it could be built into a users cockpit dash/surround easily or incorporated within a triple display rather nicely.

lol, I did say it's my opinion ;)
I dont see how it could fit centrally and be visible in a correct FOV setup because it should be behind the wheel (hence why sli units fit on a wheel)

Doesn't mean it's not cool :)

I agree with museumsteve.

I think it looks pretty cool but I think it would be better if it were narrower and just fit behind the wheel like in a real car. Basically cut the rev lights in half and keep the width to the same as the bottom portion it's golden.

It is 37cm so only 5cm wider than the T500RS casing.
Perhaps it looks bigger in the video.

Surely having such in view of your display or centre monitor in some configuration puts it in your view at all times. An SLI on a wheel or even like the BMW rim will require looking down at the wheel or at least shifting your focus and with a wheel constantly moving harder to read no doubt.

Sli pro is only 75$ cheeper that is if you want high quality buttons and rotary switches
I have an sli pro but have preordered a monsta. It will be a lot easier to see above or below my monitors then having to glance down at my wheel

"dedicated rigs"...as in mass produced, 3rd party sim racing cockpits, such as Playseat ,Vision Racer, Virtual Roadster, etc.,etc., or 'dedicated rigs' as in custom one-off-creations?

If you meant 3rd party rigs, then yes, you're right..but seeing as 99.9% of them are designed for console racing and not pc racing, ANY add-on (button box, 2nd shifter, hand-brake, etc.,etc.,) isn't going to fit!

I meant custom rigs, people's own DIY solutions.
My opinon (which is all it is) is that when using a full setup you have a nice wheel and a screen, with not much else inbetween.
If you have something this big it would (I assume) fit between the wheel and the screen. If it does that then either you wont be able to see it all, or if you can then it means you are looking down on your steering wheel and not getting a decent FOV anyway. If you can set it so you can see it through your steering wheel then I dont see how you would be able to see it all unless you use a bus wheel :D

It's still cool though ;)

355$,you can add 100$ and buy the CSR-E steering wheel!for me it is a craze spend 355$ for this thing!
I think that the technology inside that device doesn't justify such a high price!

It's not just the technology though. It's a bespoke bit of kit. Try and make something similar to that quality yourself and see how much it costs.

Hang about... That's WIDER than the T500RS casing, not just the wheel? That's massive! Fair enough if it's what you want, but do you mind me asking where you're going to put it? It might work if you place it far enough back from the wheel so you can see it 'through' the wheel but it would have to be pretty far away.

Does it have VFD displays? The centre and right hand digits don't look like 7-seg LEDs to me, and VFD would look nicer and be easier on the eye than LED. I recently salvaged a couple of VFDs from old DVD players and I want to use them for something...

It looks very nice, but I already have the CSW for indicators. So I will skip it, but a very nice addition for all those sim racers out there who are not really DIY minded and willing to mod their wheels with an SLI solution.

Great find, Latte. 👍
Got more where that came from? :)

Brian @ SRH just updated with this....

I've been approved to do a review, time permitting.
So anyone with doubts questions or whatever can put some forward.

nice tool but is too big and might be too bright I guess.

Proof in the pudding I guess mate I Look forward to giving it a go.
Not concerned with the size at all but the brightness possibly might be an issue.
I wonder if it offers any brightness level control?

Hi Guys

I dont want to Hi Jack the thread, so hope its okay if I just say you can adjust the brightness of the individual 'groups' of displays from 0-100% in 2% increments giving a very fine adjustment. The idea of the monsta was to have a unit in your FOV in the same focus range as your monitor/s with all the needed telemetry..... and I guess a bit of 'Bling' too.

Hope it was ok for me to post :)
