Sim Racing Madness [SRM] simracingmadness.comPS4

Ok, I'll probably have to push back, or postpone the Spa Practice race today. My mother-in-law passed away and my wife and I are going to her home to assess what we need to start taking care of.

I can't think we will be there long, so I'm thinking probably pushing the race back to the normal 7:30PM EST time will work. But I'll let you guys know.

Update:
Ok, home now. Still going to push the practice race to 7:30PM EST. Hope more than a few can make it.
My deepest condolences to you and your wife, I just buried my younger brother last Monday so I feel your families pain.

Sorry I missed the last race of the ginetta series. Had to work. I'll be there for Spa though. Been running the opel, but what is the overall consensus of which car is the best. I keep getting squirrely going into the right hander after the 1st left then coming out of Eau Rouge. I lowered the rear spring from 90 to 80 and that seemed to help.

Had a lot of fun Mcinnis. Appreciate the series. Looking forward to next week

Good time for sure! Still have you on reserve for next week. You're first in line if someone drops.

Super fun series, thanks for putting it on Shaun. I did take you out on the last corner and said you should take my points away for that. I hate gaining a position that way.

All good, I'm not tripping, I'm just happy we had a good battle, you had more pace than me anyway.

Sign me up for the Indy cars!!!

Noted! You should be able to get in, but I'll let you know.

So is the Mercedes AMG GT3 elgible for the Enduro series as a car choice, @sgohsixthree ?
Yes it is.

Had a lot of fun last night :). Thank you. I'm also super interested in the Indy Car Series as well .

Noted as well. Guys who race in the Enduro next week will have priority, but I'll let you know.

Very sorry to hear that Dave. I hope that we can provide an enjoyable outlet from the grief.

i like the Opel, I think the Renault might be a tad faster.

Yes I do enjoy the camaraderie that the group has,and thanks... I do believe that I will compete with the Renault Mégane R.S. TCC. #2

I think I have Eau Rouge figured out. Can hit it full throttle with barely no issue's. Just have to get the apex right. Ran a full 45 minute run and my set up was stable all the way through. Was also able to maintain consistent 2:36's with a best 2:35.5 throughout the run. Ran this with a 50 litre tank. Tire wear was also good. This was done alone so we will see how well it is with other drivers, but I am pretty confident for a good finish (which means that I will probably F@#$ it up).

Yeah the half length is great to feel out what your car might do. Keep in mind the random weather and other drivers will change any strategy. But having a base is the way to go.

Tomorrow Night will be testing rain tire pressures in a T storm. That should allow me to come up with a good tire pressure and to get a feel for where the puddles build up on the track. I figure on Sunday night after 23:00 I will run a full race with AI to see where the final car settles out.

Are we guaranteed rain in this, or is this just like the LeMans race where we should plan for all eventualities?

I've done 3 Sim races with the weather and the 2 were rain and 1 fog, but I think Shaun said something about 2 random spots now?

No guaranteed rain. There is one random weather slot that we will see twice for sure, don’t think it will cycle more than that.

With all the tests I've ever done with a random slot....I would begin to say that each random slot has a 75% chance it's some type of rain

It should be closer to 50%. Not accounting for snow, there are 14 weather types, 6 have rain, 8 do not. But the RNG gods always have other plans, and they always want to mess with us.

I agree it should be.......for whatever reason the programmers wanted rain to be affiliated with "random"

Very likely going to push back or cancel the practice race for tomorrow, unless someone else wants to run it. Still working on clearing out my mother-in-law's place, after today looks like it's going to be at least another all day thing tomorrow.

Is 9:30EST too late for those that would like to attend? I'm hoping to be home by 5-6 my time, so 8-9 EST. Let me know.

I can make it for the 9:30EST practice race tonight.

I can make the 9:30 practice. Any word yet if there is an opening for Tuesday? Dont wanna spend much time on a practice for a race I might not be in
