Gotcha....so if I only have 2 choices left in a Group A car I can go ahead and tell you that those choices will be a GT3 car. I'm done with the dumbass front wheel drive cars. Just something a noob would drive or need to learn to race with. The series you ran back in November was fun because of the competition. Sgeti, Onespace, Mexi, and myself had one hell of a race at Laguna Seca. 30 minutes of 4 cars within a second of each other. I still have that replay saved to this day. Problem was we never had to let off of the gas and that just isnt fun to me. Anybody can do that...hence why I say that's a car someone can learn to drive in. I'll stop rambling now....there are two races with the GT3/TCR combo so I'll use my two Group A choices in those races

I'm fairly certain you have quite vocally made your disdain for Touring cars well known more than a few times. I figured you would be GTE/GT3 the rest of the series anyway, but that's why there are choices. We'll let the n00bs run silly baby TCRs. ;)

I think I'll have to reconsider my choice now, otherwise I'll be stuck in a silly baby TCR for my last race.
Who am I kidding, this n00b will be in a LMP2, either the Nissan or P20.

TRACKDAY

As seen in Series 18, Episode 6 of the Original UK TopGear. The boys head to Donnington in stripped down track cars. The KTM X-Bow, the Morgan Three Wheeler and the Caterham Seven. Due to limitations within Project Cars 2, we will skip over the Morgan, and instead mix in the BAC Mono, the car originally picked by Jeremy before "it broke."

3 15-minute Races on the night, all at Donington Park National. 10 min qualifier between races. Same race settings for each race. You must race in each car once. Each car is scored as it's own class, so you are only racing against others in the same make. Scores will be tallied and a single winner will be crowned! Any ties will be broken based on fastest lap-times.

All penalties on.

:gtpflag: RACEDAY ALERT!! :gtpflag:

Indy finale tonight! We will go ahead with the Indy Oval as I didn’t come across any issues, however I also didn’t have a full room. Should be fine, but we’ll see. It will be the first race, so take advantage of the extra qualifying time to get familiar with your turn in points and try and make it a point to run next to another car and not get too anxious next to each other.

The first lap on these ovals is always a clencher. And keep in mind we start this one rolling THREE WIDE! So please, be mindful.

After that we have relatively casual outings at Sonoma and Laguna Seca.

See you all tonight!

I'll get a set-up with the Heavy Chevy just in case.:banghead:

I'll post the results tomorrow, I have to work early. But I can tell you that @The__Camel took the series victory! Congrats!

In the mean time watch my replay stream. Get the kids out of the room.:nervous::crazy:

Just wanted to apologize to all on the nature of my language last night. I can sit here and justify my reasons but there is no excuse for that.

I honestly thought that guy had just showed up, and I feel terribile for calling out a friend of a friend.
Could someone give me that fellas name so I can aplogize to him please? Thanks.

Not really sure, but I think his name was Harry Paratestes. Just kidding
SeemS tempers were flaring up.

Here it is! The results of the Indy International Invitational. Again congrats to @The__Camel on the series win!

I had a blast, and I think most of you did too. The series was not without it headaches, backaches and earaches thats for sure. I never was a fan anyways, but Ovals were an experiment I wanted to try. I'm happy to report I won't be running anymore ovals for series races. They just don't work. People stuck in pitstalls, forced rolling starts that give out penalties. Not cool. I also think that the cars just do not behave correctly when bunched up the banking, but that could all be my 🤬 driving.

Unlike ovals, I will still be using Performance Impacting Damage occasionally, although it brings out the lobby squabbles thats for sure. No one likes wrecking, or getting caught up in a wreck, and then having to get to your pit and sit to repair for literal minutes. I understand a lot of you guys are ultra-competitive, but please remember this is a game. We race in these leagues because we get far better racing than anything a public room has to offer. We get the chance to try new things and keep the game and the racing fresh. Learning along the way what works, what doesn't, when to take a chance and when to play it safe. That's what keeps me coming back anyway.

I hope everyone knows that no one in our room is going to intentionally take someone out. If they do, it is all on me for not vetting clean drivers, and I should be called out for that. I understand getting upset, but we all make mistakes. Some own up to it, others don't. If you have a problem with something someone did, either address it after the race with them or me, or just take a step back. When I'm racing in our friendly lobbies and in an incident, I don't blame anyone, I blame the situation. Doesn't mean I don't mute my mic and yell obscenities occasionally.

TLDR: Chill out, grow a pair and don't be a 🤬 ya pansies!

Next week MORE PERFORMANCE IMPACTING DAMAGE YAY! :D In a 1.5 HR race too, so hopefully you all get your crap sorted!

Thanks to a fun season all! Enjoyed the indy cars more than i thought i would. Also apologize for the oval fiasco. I came down on Gnome thinking i had room we touched and it was over for my car straight to the wall by the time it caught grip...

Practice race this Sunday, 8/26 @ 7:30PM EST. Qualifying will only be 30 mins, so race starts @ 8:00. 45 mins. Whether you are guaranteed a spot or not, you are invited to join us for the practice race! Don't think we've had more than 10 in the past practice races, so should be plenty of room.

I already know @coltsjugg will not be making the main race, so if any of the priority or regular reserves can post up they are still interested would be good to at least get a head count.

Deadline for Undecided Drivers and Priority Reserves to claim a spot is Monday 10PM EST!! (There are only a couple of those guys who might make it, and a couple I know wont) If spots are still open, reserves will be notified of eligibility ASAP. Day of race especially, be ready for last-minute drops.

I enjoyed the season a lot and I especially liked the ovals....even with the glitches. Thanks Shaun, another winner pick.
I'd like to see a whole oval series with different cars on default or with the same tunes. Get some pack racing going. The Indy cars were fun but drafting was a scrotum shrivelling adventure that did not lend itseft to close racing. IMO.

And on that note.....put me in a GTE.
