We are a few days away from the first stint in the Vintage LeMans Enduro! If you guys could confirm your entry would that be very helpful as it kinda depends on who is attending or not. I think I've already accounted for Red's absence from the 1st and 3rd stints. So those are currently the only open spots. I do expect more though.

How do you guys feel about a practice race on Sunday afternoon? I'm thinking maybe 30 min practice and 45 min race @ 4PM EST? Let me know.

Possibly.... might have family coming over, but it's a maybe.
We re running the new fangle lemans track?... I did a time trial challenge at vintage lemans. With the 917 can am.. 2:56 ... the top 8 guys were running the 917 can am at 2:41s .. I think the sauber was next fastest.
In their day the can am cars were listed as the fastest road race cars on the planet. And it appears on that track they still are. I could get 243mph flying solo. And over 250mph with a draft.

The 107 started from the pits and had issues all race. The 108 was very strong to start and just fell off mid way.

Tires are going to be just melted for these races... so get ready to pit! Speaking of which, I realize I didn't post the realism stuff. Here you go! (....and 4 more people drop out )

Just FYI, did some snooping around, and there is a 10 second difference between the fastest lap for the Sauber C9 LM and the Jaguar XJR-9 LM.

The Nissan is 4 seconds slower per lap than the Sauber, and the Porsche is 2 seconds slower per lap than the Nissan.

Thus, the list from fastest to slowest, in terms of raw lap time are:

Sauber C9 LM
Nissan R89C LM
Porsche 962C LH
Jaguar XJR-9 LM

This is true. It's one of the reasons everyone will drive every car. I also added time penalties to driverless cars yesterday, with the Sauber receiving the largest penalty of 10 sec. Scoring being based on total time and laps completed as opposed to each race finishing position might come into play balancing out a bit.

It was a great race up until I had that tire blowout, I thought I had great pace and I believe I was running 6th or 7th with the nearest driver 40 sec back, oh well If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all To bad my replay didn't go back to the 15th lap

Fun night! I know some were struggling with these cars, but thats part of the appeal. It's going to be a tough race, and I know I've already learned some stuff driving the 'easy' car. I can only imagine what cars like the one Colts likes so much, will teach me.

The scoring sheet below might be a little more clear as to how the teams work. Otherwise, just keep showing in the car assigned and don't worry about it. Next Stint is in three weeks! I'm excited to see how things start panning out.

Because of the way pCars handles finishing results, I am not using the times of those who leave or retire to the pits, because the game doesn't track that anyway.

For the next stint we will do a formation lap. The order of which is determined by team finishing position in the previous stint. This might get confusing, as the results after stint 2 may not reflect the starting order of stint 3. For teams that finished with penalties for no show / DNF, any ties will be determined by coin flip or random number generation. I'll post tentative starting order shortly before Stint #2.

My brain hurts. The next 2 weeks are the Skyline Series. Normal, basic series.

I understand the need for politically correct acknowledgment of handicap special olympics style racing..i.e. Quadrapalegic drive. Hats off to those special needs race drivers. I will however do my literal best to compete against them.
