Hey Guys.
My first post was for information but this time I thought I would provide some of my own experience.
I have been on the PS system for a long time with various wheel set ups and was looking for that NEW experience. Then I heard about SimWorx on the radio. There is a shop in Subiaco Perth that has 6 ready to race. So I went and had a look and was suitably impressed till I heard they were worth $27.000 each.
I went to the website and had a look, then contacted the company about buying the motion system to modify to fit my own seat set up.They took days to reply so I sent them a reminder of my interest. They sent a picture and suggested that it was only made for their units.
How many of you out there could not fabricate 4 brackets to bolt this to a race chair.?
Basically it is an X with brackets at each corner and a electronic box attached to it.
Sorry I can't supply a picture.
Anyhow I then asked for a price on the bare bones chassis and the motion equipment.( I have all the sound gear.monitor etc ) After a few days of no reply on the email I called by phone and left a message with contact number and emailed again. That was 2 weeks ago so I guess that custom building is not really on their agenda even though that's what they advertise.
I don't imagine they are selling many of these each month so the poor service is some what surprising.
Vesaro on the other hand was so different.
They are based in the UK and could not have been better. Emails replied to just after they received them and bare bones set up no problem.
Pity I cannot afford their prices but definitely a big thumbs up to them.
And that brings me back to SimXperience in my first post.
So far they have replied to my email with speed asking for additional information and I am just waiting on a reply to that.
I will post again as the story unfolds.
