Cool! Thanks for the info!

EDIT:
Silly question for M5Power: Did my Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe make that list? I rarely ever see one (though that's probably because most end up at the junkyard!)

I almost bought one, Doug knows it. We've had a few chats about that car.

No, it's not on his list I don't think.

 No, the T-bird Turbo Coupe isn't on the list, but its supercharged next-of-kin, the 1989-1995 Ford Thunderbird SC is (along with its rarer twin, the 1989-1990 Mercury Cougar XR7). That said, I haven't gotten around to updating most of the 1982-1989 list, so the Turbo Coupe will eventually be added. I love performance versions and rare versions and the Turbo Coupe is both.

Actually, that looks more like an Infiniti M30 Converitble, not a Lexus. Lexus didn't make a "convertible" until 2001 when they came out with the SC430.

Dude that was a joke!(as noted). In the movie Three Kings(George Clooney/Mark Wahlberg), Wahlberg argues IceCube through out the movie, that Lexus makes an convertible, which Cube denies and tells him it's Infiniti who makes it.

P.S. The car is an rebadged Nissan Leopard, Infiniti brought it to U.S. very late in it's cycle. In Japan, it tried to compete with Toyota Soarer(Lexus SC).

As for the movie, I've never seen it in its entirety. But I get the joke now.

What made you change your mind?

Umm, Turbo Coupe, No reverse, $300 out of my pocket
Or, June this year, about 6months+ later, free 92 Toyota Supra Turbo.

So, 92 Toyota Supra Turbo for free.
or 87 Turbo Coupe that needs alot of work for $300.

I'll take the free Supra, thanks.

Hyundai Scoupe w/ the 1.5-liter 115-hp turbocharged I-4 and a Mercury Capri w/ the 1.6-liter 132-hp turbocharged I-4. Great! Thanks!

I'm also a HUGE fan(pun intended) of these...

Hey - my two are the two worst turbos I can think of (barring turbodiesels). Some Saab turbos are cool - especially the 9-3 Viggen and 9-5 Aero!

They definitely are one of the best looking cars out there these days. I wonder if they are in the GT4?

M5... now that is funny. Nice. Gotta love the cars what wish they could be other cars... Capri trying to be an MR look alike, and the Scoupe just being bleh. Again, nice 👍

I like the styling on the R34, I like the styling on the R33 and I like the styling on the R32 hell I like every skyline right on up to the ALSI - 1. I'm sick of everone claiming that the skyline isn't a sports car and of its low horsepower. You all know that 280 horsepower thing was pure bull****. I don't think nissan will dissapoint with the next GTR, Look at the styling of recent nissans, hell for the first time in my life I wouldnt mind driving a maxima. The titan, the murano, the 350Z the armada all look great, so I certainly don't expect nissan to screw up a car that has such a cult following in japan, it would be suicide. Plus Hiroshi Tamura is in charge of the project and he knows what GTR is all about, I'm sure he wont dissapoint in performance or looks. But regardless of how the car looks or performs there will always be people who hate the car.

On a side note: I think nissan deciding to go VQ is an excellent idea, think of all teh R&D that has already gone into this awesome engine and the huge avalability of parts. Plus being able to target more vehicles with just one modification makes it the ideal car for tuners to work on because instead of 1 intake for just 1 car it could work on a few, leading them to want to invest more money which leads to better performing parts. Plus the pottential of the VQ is huge, AEBS makes a 4.3 L stroker kit, add some sleeves (also made by AEBS) and you've got a 4.3L V6 that can handle 55 PSI of boost. I just cant wait for nissan to unveil the next GTR.

55 pounds of turbocharger boost? Which turbo can handle that? What intake manifold can handle that? How big does the turbo have to be (assuming it can handle it) to make that kind of boost?

I wish my Turbo Coupe had 55psi of boost. That would translate to about 550-575 hp (from a 2.3!)

The AEBS sleeve kit is what is being used by some Top Feul dragsters so yeah its overkill but atleast your engine wont melt :) but you don't really need to run 55 PSI on the street now do you? If you dont want to go that overkill you could go for the 3.5 Stroker.

Cool, thanks for the info & pic! :)

3.5 stroker? I was talking about a Ford 2.3-liter SOHC turbo, for my Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe.

55psi on the street sounds fun! It's all about throttle control though. So far I'm maxed out at about 15.

The R34 is my favorite car of all time. Are you serious bout the Skyline GTR comin to the US?

I don't think the R34 is coming to the US, its been discontinued...

I've seen an R35 Skyline and an R33 (both imported) in NY.

3.5 stroker kit for the 350z :)

Why would you want to import a V35 skyline?

Because noone else would. He has something that's "unique", or at leats what noone else does. Who knows. Someone sold a snowball for 20G. who would wanna buy that?

There is nothing unique about a snowball that fell in texas. There is nothing unique about an imported V35 skyline, other than the position of the steering wheel...and the resale value, which will be dramatically lower.

I didn't import it... I just saw one. It was weird. I was driving down the road and I saw what looked to me like a G35. Second glance and then I saw the word "S K Y L I N E" on the back where the Infinti emblem would normally go. I could be wrong though. I might not be an import; some genius probably thought it would look "2 Cool 2 Drive" by removing Infiniti and sticking Skyline on the back! :ill:
