"Slow is Fast" gets new meaning

So, the car going slower by about 30km is going to overtake the other while they both are going in a straight line?

I'm going to seem like a jerk for saying this but, as stated on the first page, yes it will.

I am having the same problem when we try to ad hoc race with my friend.

We are driving the exact same cars with the same settings but his acceleration is way faster than mine. Handicap option is off. Anyone else notice this bug?

from what I've seen... the AI is rubber banded... Many times a car that the computer paired up with my car is a lot slower... yet like Nauraushaun said... the computer hides it and speeds up the car to keep up with you. Especially in S Class races. I manged to get all 3 other F2007's off the track this one time and I gained so much space between them and me... yet with the speed limit set to around 215 (Give or take a few mph) I raced without mistakes.. yet within a lap and a half.. the other 3 cars were all on my ass again!.. how on earth did they do that? And the games does slow down way too much in some turns (High Speed Ring, the 1st corner after the banking going counter clockwise)... they slow down and shift 1 gear down.. and hold the speed.. then speed up. While I fly into the corner and fly out with only 1 down shift and then I'm out.. this would normally get me about 0.0.650 seconds in front.. and they do the same in the S Bends before the tunnel... which I get to about 0.0.890 seconds.. yet they catch right up to me (when I'm going at the max speed of around 215.

Okay I think I went on too much. But something is up with the game.
