Some of the lighting and toning on these are really good. I particularly like the last 2 shots. 👍

Fantastic work, Alex    Great cars, lighting, tones, composition.

Thanks, GPR, those 2 are among my personal faves as well.
I really like most of the pics of this last set but the ones with both SLS and MP4 are simply awesome  👍
Thank you, Kodje!

Thanks, Ilya!:D

MAN, I love this color combo!

Friggin' awesome. Totally agree with you. I normally don't like colored rims, though I must admit that that looks pretty sweet.

What an amazing set, I admit that, like Fysho, I don't like the colored rims, but in this case they're are perfect!:tup

I agree with Nicolas, I don't like colored rims too, but orange ones match GT-R quite good. And the set is of course amazing.

Fantastic work on both McBenz and GT-R set, Alex!

Love the one with the Gumball 3000 logo! 👍

That's one of the best looking GT-Rs I've seen thus far - and I'm sure you can imagine that I am fastidious. The pictures themselves are fantastic; need to say more?! ;)

Amazing work ,Alex !   Love dat combo 👍
There's something in this shots, something that I can't explain but I like it very much. I'm talking about editing style. :D

Uhm guys, the things is I don't like colored rims mostly either.:D
Fo real!
No, seriously, for these things to work the color sombo really needs to be spot on.
Thank y'all!

GPR
Pretty nice set. The light work is great. I really like shot 4 out of the bunch. 👍
Thanks, GPR!:)
Excellent shots of the Mclaren/Mercedes combo at SSRX...very nice lighting and shadows 👍
:cheers::cheers::cheers:
Agree with the comments above, great colour combinaison 👍

#3, #4, #5 & your 3.0 entry are my fav'

Hehehe, it's an honor to hear such words from The GT-R.:)

Hey, so I guess my experiments payed off. Great!:dopey:

Here's a collection of winter-y shots taken a couple months ago and finished just now. Those pics got little love from the Russian community, which kinda surprised me, but oh well, I like 'em (not the most awesome but nice IMO) and flickr members don't seem to be too cruel either.:)

Love the general dark toning and the high contrast of the Enzo shot.
The second impreza shot is superb, with a beautiful light.
The close shots are really well made, my fav is, like Nicolas, the b&w one.
Nice snow shooting also, in a reallistic way. My fav' are #2 & #6.

Very solid pictures you got here, SMfan. What I found interesting with most of these is the fact that you have a very high contrast while still providing a lot of details (especially perceptible in pictures #1 to #4 and #9). Are you mainly relying on the dodge/burn tools (I personally like to use these excessively) or is there some other technique you use to achieve this?

The Impreza looks really nice, love #2 and the B&W tail light most.

Great set! ;)👍
Thanks a lot, Nicolas!:)

Thank you for the detailed explanation and the kind words.:) Btw, the goal for those snowy shots was exactly that - to be realistic.

Sometimes, yes, but other times I may use different layer blend modes, which may also be like dodge and burn, but not applied to the original pic from the beginning so you could be able to tweak the result a lil' bit.
Thanks.:)

Well, I have this pic on flickr, but there's no set, so uhm... here it is, just one picture, but hopefully a good one.

Wow. It must've been quite difficult to get the perspective right in that shot. The increased brightness helps to increase the contrast and the shadows are rich, as well. Outstanding effort - yet again, SMfan. Thanks for the information regarding your post-editing, as well!

Fantastic winter shots  Nice toning 👍 👍 👍 And dat Ferrari
Thanks, Ilya!

No probem, man. Thanks for the comment!:dopey:
Amazing GTR set, and that McLaren is very realistic the toning is so "mature", great job.
Really, glad you like those sets, sejtur.👍

Well, it's that time again, yet another Corvette set... but first...

"'ITS A CELEBRATION B****!"

[in case you don't know the origin of the .gif, it's a moment from from the Chappelle's Show, which I highly recommend watching]

Yeah, this gallery got over the 2000 comments mark.:dopey:
For that I wanna say "THANK YOU" to all the people who commented here, and the GTP community as a whole, thanks, guys!

There's even a celebration pic this time (unlike the 1000 posts that I didn't even recognize:ouch:)
So, here it is:

And as said earlier - 'Vette set #8654543

Congrats man, looking forward to more great works from you. Pretty sweet Vette set. I love shots 9 & 11. The desaturated backgrounds really make the car pop and the light is great. Particularly with ther tunnel shot it's excellent. 👍

Finally decided to take some pictures of that car, haven't you?! :dopey: Fantastic work, as always. 👍

Oh and... Congratulations! :)
