Hey, so I guess my experiments payed off. Great!

Here's a collection of winter-y shots taken a couple months ago and finished just now. Those pics got little love from the Russian community, which kinda surprised me, but oh well, I like 'em (not the most awesome but nice IMO) and flickr members don't seem to be too cruel either.

The second impreza shot is superb, with a beautiful light.
The close shots are really well made, my fav is, like Nicolas, the b&w one.
Nice snow shooting also, in a reallistic way. My fav' are #2 & #6.

What I found interesting with most of these is the fact that you have a very high contrast while still providing a lot of details (especially perceptible in pictures #1 to #4 and #9). Are you mainly relying on the dodge/burn tools (I personally like to use these excessively) or is there some other technique you use to achieve this?

Sometimes, yes, but other times I may use different layer blend modes, which may also be like dodge and burn, but not applied to the original pic from the beginning so you could be able to tweak the result a lil' bit.
