Got it I will make a room once we have a combos picked. Just in case we need two rooms agian. Unless that is someone else would like to host for this week.

I don't know how my fellow d2 drivers felt but it sure felt weird not having the d1 cars and battles around last week. I really like the factor that multi class racing brought.

Bring it up with PD I'm sure we could handle 24 man lobbies, they do in the Superstar races, but noooooooo, 16 it is.

Sounds like the rolling start bug has been fixed - you just have to create a new race from scratch. I've been re-using the same template every race, which has apparently just been copying the bug forward.

@Herimopp89, just in case you host D2 again next week, you might want to delete the settings you've copied from me.
Could the finish bug be tied into this also?

I wasn't necessarily referencing you @Jw_wk1010. Gunny hasn't been setting the fastest laps. His laps are strong but not the fastest. He is just the most prepared and most consistent. That is the point. Not sure how you took that as a shot against you specifically. We are all good drivers but sunday is so different. I am still adjusting myself.

Yep. Gunny is beating us with a well formulated pit strategy, not outright pace. I watched the replay from last race and he started in the back, patiently moved forward by minimizing pit time and staying consistent and never appeared desperate or rushed. Smooth and steady all race trusting his strategy while the hotlappers fell one by one. This is endurance racing.
It’s why I enjoy endurance racing more than the Sunday spec races. I don’t need to be the fastest every lap, I just need consistent decent times and it can work out.

Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s probably why I enjoy D2 much better than D1. I find D2 is much more about being able to be consistent as opposed to trying to force myself to be on the ragged edge consistently (just to keep up the mid pack), which for me basically makes it impossible to be consistent.

Prepared is pretty laughable. I usually buy the car 10-15 minutes prior to the race. I just have a good strategic sixth sense (Ferrari leadership, please reach out to my agent to get my availability) and when I’m not pushing myself to be a few tenths faster each lap I make a ton less mistakes.

FALLOPIAN SWIM TEAM READY FOR ACTION.

We have a swimmer aboard!!!

Well when I tried to do it myself, I would usually crash... I'm already doing like 3 things at once, 4 is a little much.

I have to do it myself D:

Actually, being totally honest - the reason I crashed was because I was shortshifting to save fuel and the car doesn't turn in nearly as well when you short shift (news to me).

So I crashed coming onto the bridge because the car understeered as I had never driven that corner in 4th.

All of this was because I wasn't confident in my fuel calculations - and was saving fuel in case I needed to do another lap - when in fact my calculations were just fine.

So - long story short, I crashed because I didn't trust my own calculations.

No one told me math would be involved in this :scared:

Last race I was in second, about 3~ seconds up on Brad and about 10~ seconds up on JW with 15 minutes left.
We all still needed to pit one more time, for a new set of softs - I think Brad and JW both had to put more fuel in, but I didn't as I was putting in 8 laps of fuel - and taking new tires every 4 laps which staggers my pit stop times (one stop is tires no fuel, next stop tires and fuel to 8 laps) whereas I think Brad and JW were just going stop tires+4 laps fuel.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, we were fairly close - and had been close all race, if we overfill by a couple laps of fuel - or don't optimize our pit strategy near the end, that could've been the difference between 2nd or 4th.

FYI - keeping less fuel in the car helps you go faster - the car is much lighter and quicker around the corners, so if you're just filling up the tank every time you stop you're leaving time on the track, unless you're on a strategy that requires a full tank of fuel.

I didn’t know Endurance Racing was this involved. It’s good to be getting these awesome tips and tricks in how to run this series. Hopefully by deploying some of these methods I can get some better results in future races.

Doesn't this:
...I was putting in 8 laps of fuel - and taking new tires every 4 laps...

...contradict this:
...keeping less fuel in the car helps you go faster...

In other words, why not just get 4 laps of fuel every stop? This way you would only fluctuate between an empty tank and a 1/2 full tank (instead of fluctuating between an empty tank and a full tank).

I'm not sure why I do this tbh, I think I started doing it because I "feel" like it's faster. Like there is a little time to put the tank into the car to start filling it, so if you fill it once every other stop that's faster than every stop. 8 laps of fuel was about 80% full.

Also because it allows me to undercut somebody if we come into the pits together.

Idk, I can't really explain it, but I've done it both ways.

And I ran a hard stint in the middle to catch back up that race the Hards u could run full tank on then went back to 6and6
