Unfortunately I will be traveling Sunday from Columbus to Cleveland for my fathers 88th birthday celebration. Sorry I won’t be able to participate this time.

Alright, let's go with Sunday, June 17th @ 4:00 PM for the first SNAIL Rider Cup.

I know a lot of people (myself included) use Sunday afternoons as practice time for Sunday night, so let's compromise. The three combos for the event will be the same three combos that we'll be racing that evening. The only difference will be that the lap count will increase by 50% (e.g. 6 -> 9, 7 -> 11, etc.). This means the Rider Cup will essentially be a formalized practice session.

If you plan on participating, please reply here and I'll maintain an entry list in the OP (@DublDee, @SAMHAIN85, and @Nicktune, you're already on the list). If we don't get enough participants, the event will unfortunately need to be cancelled.

Tagging everyone who has shown interest or is Canadian:

C'mon ya Hoser, you can do it eh!

I've lived here my whole life and never heard anyone talk like that yet, Lol

The Crew Chief's niece from the old country is visiting. I'm working on convincing her to take the niece out for lunch so I can race....

Yea it being Father's Day makes it a hard commitment. Maybe another day would be better for everyone?

Conversations like this make me wish we could all get together once a year and have a gathering of the snails. It would take a lot of commitment and some money invested for those traveling far but it can be done if we truly want it. It would rise this league up to another level of comradery.

We're going to have to postpone the first Rider Cup due to not enough availability/participation.

Thanks to all of you who signed up, and we'll try again in a month or two.

Hopefully by then we'll have a few new Canadian drivers to fill the grid up. Looking forward to this whenever it gets run, its a cool idea.

Yeah I think it’s about time to give this another shot... I’ll pick a date and try to solicit some interest in the main thread.

I'm thinking about making another run at the SNAIL Rider Cup (last time I tried, the Canadians were too scared). Check out the page linked above for details, but from a logistics point of view here's what it would look like:

Date/Time: Sunday, November 4th @ 5:30 (EST)
Combos: The three combos that end up being chosen for Sunday Night that week (this way the Rider Cup can also serve as a practice session)
Awards: Custom decal awarded to all members of the winning nation (designed by yours truly so don't get too excited)

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, like this post and/or head over to the dedicated thread.

Brad i would love to be a part of this but that time frame would't work for. I know not all time frames work for everybody and i am just one person out of the very many.

Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the interest anyway. I was assuming Sunday afternoon would be generally good timing because i always see a lot of people practicing at that time.
