Testing Announcement:
Tomorrow night we will be running a test for the future of the Series.

I love the format we run now and I believe it is a fun way to race. So for next season the Odd races will be the traditional format we have now. Tire wear at 19 & fuel at 6. The even races is where we will be making changes.

There are two formats I would like to try tomorrow night.

For Race 1: we will be heading to Barcelona (my homegrounds for Super Formula Testing lol). We will do 2 races there, each 15 minutes in Laps. The first race will be everyone on SuperSofts and 0 tire wear. A full sprint. The second race will be a REVERSE GRID. The top 50% of drivers from the results of race 1, will use Soft tires. The bottom 50% will use SuperSoft tires.

So for example. If there are 8 cars in race 1, the drivers who finish 1-4 will use Softs in race 2. Drivers who finish 5-8 will use SuperSofts.

This is an effort to give slower guys a run with the big dogs and we’re testing how this will playout.

The second round will be at Nurburgring GP/F

Race 1 there will be the same supersoft sprint except tire wear will be on x15, fuel x0.

Race 2 will be a reverse grid of race 1 but with a varying of tires.
If you finish 1st - 3rd you will use Mediums
If you finish 4th - 7th you will use Softs
If you finish 8th - 16th you will use SuperSofts

Couple notes, I know this is a lot of information but we are testing and in the room I will re explain everything before each race & text out who is using what tire. so you don’t have to question what you are supposed to be using. Please race all out and try to finish as high as possible so that we can get good results. Don’t intentionally sandbag to get a better tire for race 2. It’s just a test.

Each race will be 15 minutes in lap times with 4 races total. We will have qualifying before races 1 & 3. I am very sorry if this is confusing but I promise this SHOULD be fun.

If you are racing tomorrow night, I would love to have as many people as possible, please post in the thread so I can have a rough head count for the testing.

In an effort to fill up this grid for the test I am changing the two sprint races and the Tracks. We will be running the new combo for this Sunday night @ Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East II & on Mediums instead of Super softs You can get practice for Sunday night and I can get my test results.

Couple of announcements,

For Season 2 we will be running 12 Rounds like last season the best 9 will count towards the final standings. A difference we are going to do is that round 1 of each night will be the Strategy Round. It will be a 30 minute race and you must use at least two different tires. Same format as last season.

Round 2 of each night will be broken into 2 shorter races and be called the SNAIL Round.
Everyone does 1 Qualifying Lap like we would on Sunday’s and we will run the first race. Everyone will use the same tires and Fuel will NOT be a factor After race 1 we will flip the grid and run the 2nd race. The finishing order of race 1 will be cut in half. The top 50% from race 1 will use Racing Soft Tires and the bottom 50% will use SuperSoft tires. The points spread will be in a separate post tomorrow once I finalize everything.

@SAMHAIN85 @TEX36 & @Phlano099 , since you were 4-6 in points (I skipped myself) you guys can pick a track that we go to for the season. Please choose the track and also say if you want it to be a Strategy or SNAIL Round.

If anyone has any questions please message me or post in here but I hope this Spices things up for next season! I will have the schedule out ASAP & I will post shortly here where this Wednesday’s races will be.

This was a random surprise... listening to @Wardez podcast today and @FD3SSpiritR was on as a guest. When Eddie mentioned his name I'm like wait a minute, I know that guy!
