So all the cars will be unlocked from the beginning?

I do.
Or at least that some of the cars on the list don't appear right away in the dealerships, like the 99-01 Super GT cars in GT3... So you can actually go and find out where they are hidden... Having all cars from the beggining would mean this game is all about grinding... and that it's not a good sign...

Just because all cars would be available to buy doesn't automatically mean there will be grinding. If the career mode is any good and the car prices are reasonable, that shouldn't happen.

That being said, I personally wouldn't miss secret prize cars at all. If there are cars I like that can only be obtained through an endurance race, I'm going to be quite annoyed. This happened to me quite a lot in past GTs. Not to mention, I think secret prize cars are counter-productive to a game that now has an online mode. It could get in the way of online leagues if certain cars are locked away.

Even if the carreer mode is balanced and fair, you could end up with buying a very expensive car that you can't use in the available races, which will lead to a self imposed grind I suppose.

My strategy with the career mode is to only buy the cars I need to do events and not buy the ones I really want right away. At least until I reach a point in the game where a lot of money is easy to come by.

And hopefully too, those who have pre-prder the game and have cars from the start, wont have to buy a car to start racing, like in GT5 :scared:
I'll still buy a car to start racing, I won't touch the pre-order cars until I have to.

Me too, it's not Gran Turismo unless you're entering the sunday cup in an asthamtic MX-5 with a sports flywheel.
 True. But I'll do what I did in GT1 and GT2, get a '90 Nissan Primera for starters :D

Pretty much like every other GT game other than the last.

The UCD lottery of GT5 is certainly gone, yes. As to another form of UCD, much like GT4's version, it's still unclear.
That is good news but I hope we still have "unknown" reward cars. That's one of my favorite features in the GT series is not knowing the reward car.

I wish they would bring back the prize car lottery from GT3. Some events had 4 possible prize cars, so you had to do the event at least 4 times to get all of the cars. Sometimes more. That way, a lot more cars could be locked, and therefore, earned as opposed to bought.

And it rewards grinding

I personally never want to see it again. It was annoying if I just wanted a certain car, but instead got something totally different and I had to use the reset trick constsntantly until the game did give me what I wanted. It also doesn't help that some cars can only be obtained through this roulette system.

And buying cars with money you get from races is still earning them.

Prices for the 15th Anniversary cars:

GT3 cars come in at 450, 000Cr.

Renault Trophy V6 100, 000Cr.

Scirocco N24 450, 000Cr.

HSV 010 1.5MIL

Shelby Daytona 4.5MIL

R18 TDI 5MIL

Audi S1 3MIL

Toyota 86 30, 000Cr.

IS-F Racing Concept 350, 000Cr.

Alpine A110 200, 000Cr.

The pricing is all over the place. We'll have to grind unless we get multipliers after advanced events. I just dont want to get a Fiat Panda after a classic event.

It looks like they're based on rarity/popularity as much as actual price.

Its crazy because in GT5, the Amuse GT1 250, 000 and the RE Amemiya FD3S is 100, 000. These are tuner cars. Yet, 750, 000 for the Art Morrison Award Winner and HPA TT Tuner.

Here's how I'd like to see it: All cars are in the dealership, but like GT4, the prize cars are locked (at first). When you win a prize car, it is then unlocked in the dealership if you want more than one of them. This would eliminate grinding for cars (like in 4), as well as only getting one prize car and having to wait for it in the UCD if you want another one (like in 5).

Or even better, the prize cars don't appear in the dealership at all until you win one. I like to be surprised, and I plan on avoiding the "prize car lists" when they inevitably appear on this board.

The only thing that bother me in GT5 related to level locked cars was the UCD. I remember seeing the FGT show up in the UCD, I had the money to buy it but was 1 level short, when I got to the next level the car was not there anymore and I needed it to run the FGT race. It took lots of grinding to cycle the UCD enough times to get another chance at the car. Of course they did add the OCD which solved that problem so once that was in place the level locking on the cars was no big deal.

The level locking on the races was another matter and was a much bigger deal.
I ended up not running the 24hr Lemans and Nurburgring due to the level required to enter them. Once you get to level 30+ it takes a very long time to advance to the next level. Some of my friends took advantage of a glitch to get their level to 40 but I ended up quitting somewhere around level 36 and went back to Forza where I could post some leaderboard times and compare with my friends.

We desperately need a full leaderboard system in GT6

I'm certain there will be license tests based on the screenshots showing rookie, B, A etc. in GT mode
Those are not License tests. Those are event groups for career mode. Novice, B, A etc. have races within them that you complete to advance onto harder races.
In essence, I guess you could say those are license tests but it's a departure from traditional GT tests.

I hope you're right, but I thought those screenshots were showing events based on class and each star you gain unlocks that racing class...

Doesnt it read that when we prove how well we race in GT6 then, we advance to the next level? I cant recall reading about gaining a licence to advance.

Hmm... Again, a possibility, I have the feeling that those stars will more likely be used to unlock the events within each class, so if you've already earned yourself an IB license, then you won't have to get a ton of stars racing in the little leagues (or, possibly, you'll need the license and all those stars from kart racing to Dream Car Championship to unlock those top races)

I want there to be rare cars, ones you can't buy or trade. Like, if you win an event in a certain car or under certain PP, it gives you a different prize car than usual.

There should be an end stage raid on Kazunori Yamauchi. You have to beat Kaz in his GT3 GT-R in at the 24h Nurburgring (pause button disabled) in a miata on sports hard tires. If you win, you get an uber V8 swap miata with a special Yamauchi Face livery

I think Kazunori-sama would rather challenge us in the N24 GT-R
