So, how was your day?

I think it requires a license, but I guess that would depend on your location. I did mine in the UK and only licensed jumpers could fly solo.

Mmmm, well the entire North island is pretty much in a drought now... And apparently there is only 18 or 19 days of water left... For my property (we run our own water tanks), we have much more. So I'm disappointed to say I think it's about to rain, meaning we won't be seeing what happens when the water runs out. :grumpy: It's a horrible thing for someone to say, but I'm just curious... Yep, it's starting to spit right now, good thing I finished loading the firewood in the shed today.

And on another point. Today I work for my dad properly for the first time, mainly 6 hours of cable hauling, and it's a night shift. Heading out at about 9 PM and arriving back between 3 and 5 AM. And I have tomorrow of of school for sleeping, so my music teacher is going to be angry at me because it means no show for choir and singing lessons. And due to being night work, I get paid overtime rates! :D I think it's $20 NZD an hour, where it's normally $15 NZD an hour (that's how much my brother earns). I'll be working occasionally over the school year, and that means I should be able to afford that Ovation guitar I want so much from Rockshop. $120 (take away a bit due to tax) tonight, another $40 or 50 due to other work, I'll have $160 or so... Another $650 or so and I'll have that guitar!

Don't have much battery left, so I gotta make this quick. Power is out, not only in my house, but miles and miles around. Even the cell towers went out, but came back on. Its eerie how quiet it is. This is weird...

Edit: Also, you know how there is light pollution from the cities? It's gone.

Edit: Last estimate of people affected was 10,185.

Edit: Power is back on! Me and gma were gonna play UNO by candlelight.

Was great. It began to drizzle then all of a sudden WHAM! "THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALERT FOR YOUR AREA".
It was fun. We basically sat there and listened to the thunder, and alot of thunder it was.
Luckily our power didn't go out because it did back at my parents house. *trollface*

Ahh, I love thunderstorms. It was what made me have a good day. 👍

Apparently we had a small earthquake here a couple of hours ago. I didn't actually notice until Mum came in saying "did you feel that? I felt that?"
It must've happened since there were dozens of Facebook statuses about it

I used to sit outside and watch those at night with friends and family on my front porch. I stopped going outtside after storms after a close call getting myself in the path of a tornado in 2009. On a bicycle.

Yolo :sly:
Kidding. Getting chased by a tornado on a bicycle is a little too much Yolo. :P

Strange, though. The same thing sort of happened to me today, except when I was riding my bicycle I saw lightning strike our shed roof. (Note that I was no more than 20ft. away)

Close enough.

Oh yeah I almost pooped myself haha. It was about 2 miles away from me but I sat there in shock and disbelief at what I was seeing. Then I realized I had to GTFO of there ASAP

I once had lightning strike the ground 3 feet behind me while I was in a port-a-potty on a family camping trip. That feeling you get when you hear the air around you sizzle is indescribable. I immediatly ran back to my cabin, but later once the storm had passed I checked the area out and noticed a 6 inch wide hole in the gound about 8 inches or so deep. The ground had disintegrated.

I'm jealous!

I'm frustrated!

I'm a little bit depressed!

I'm in a bad mood!

All in all not a bad sunday-morning-start.

I'm back again :D haven't been on here in absolute ages lol, bought a Subaru Impreza - been doing it up as a mini project, haven't had time for GT5 but now I'm back!

My weekend was spent on Dartmoor, doing Ten Tors training, thus was therefore awesome :D We might have got every single type of weather on Saturday, with snow, hail, rain, sun and fog; but I do love it.

My stomach is acting up. My back is out. I have a MONSTER cold. I'm 32 yrs. old, and I feel like I'm 90. :grumpy:

Good. I began working out it the gym. I knew I was out of shape, and fully expected to struggle with cardio, but the weights were very hard. I'm so weak.

It was okay, watched the grand prix and was pleasantly surprised to see Kimi win, what a legend.
The rest was pretty boring, had an awesome roast though, but most of the day I sat around not doing much. Also I mistakenly had a nap late afternoon so now it's 3:41am and I am not in the least bit tired.

Good so far.

I'm not jealous

I'm not frustrated

I'm definitely not depressed at the moment.

I'm in a very good mood

and ...... I just sold an old receiver amplifier.

Crazy day really.

Woke after a mad one at the pub with my 'work wife' and some pals. Apparently I was on Tequila for the first time in 12 years, God I hate that stuff. Probably threw up though I don't remember doing it.

Skipped pleasantries with Mrs. Shem due to having my new motorcycle arrive and wanting to ride it. Stupid thing had a dead battery. :grumpy:

Still, meant to have dinner with said missus but happened to get (intentionally) lost in the back streets of the city where the poor folk live. Mind blowing experience which saw me several beers and 2 bottles of Chinese whiskey down, before I jumped on a train home and bought more beer and whiskey.

Turns out that the better half had been waiting for me and decided to get a take-away in my absence so I cracked on with a 12" pepperoni stuffed crust and a few more drinks once home.

Now I just happen to be listening to the type of music that a depressive should not listen to; Nutshell, Dust in the Wind, Tear is Heaven, Reign o'er Me, Fade to Black...etc...

Still, good one while it lasted. I hope tomorrow (now 4am) will be as good. 👍 :)

It was ok. For the first time ever, I felt like falling asleep in class. I also finally got a friend's cellphone number, after 4 years of not having anyone's.

I did this with a friend, and yes.. in case you're wondering it's spring break and we're bored. Going to ride it down a hill. A BIG hill for that matter.

Feeling good today :)

Returned to the gym today after a 1 year, 6 months absence... and despite I went very early in the morning, I don't feel that wasted...

For now

Let's see how I finish the day... ;)

 👍 Excellent!

Today I woke at 5am and saw off my wife at 7am heading for the airport. I may not see her for more than a month so I was feeling sad and went back to be until 2pm.

I cleaned the house after waking because it was a tip after my heavy multiday drinking session which left my liver feeling sore. Must go to the doctors and get a scan sometime soon.

Went into town to buy a tent and camp bed for a festival I'll attend next week. Met a friend after to hunt for an MMA club where we could spar but the prices were stupidly high so we decided to spend the money ordering gloves online and sparring at our usual pub where we often brawl. Fight club here I come! :D

Grabbed a few beers at home with my friend and chewed the fat. I cleaned the beds and floors after he left and I'm now chilling out with some tunes and a clean house. :)

Very productive, office was very busy today, got a LOT of things done. Back home I've just reloaded 40 rounds of rifle ammunition for my trip to the shooting range on Friday and Wednesday means its biceps and forearms day - my favorite exercise day. Just thinking of 105 lbs barbell preacher curls makes my arm muscles itchy, can't wait. :dopey:
And later I'm going to finish the latest Mass Effect 3 DLC.

Like I said, a very productive day.

Horrid. I got a cold last Sunday and have felt like 🤬 ever since. The sore throat is gone, but my nose is still congested and I'm losing my voice. :ouch:

Boring.

Ate too much but stopped eating at 2:30pm. The only positive moment was when I was jogging. It felt so good.

I need some exitment in my life. Maybe I'll become a adventurer or a Hollywood actor.
