So, how was your day?

Had plans tonight, which are now interrupted by weather, which is one of my top pet peeves, especially during the summer. The weather has been crap this year!!

Day was great until the chain on my bike broke and I biffed it. Pretty scuffed up and swollen at the moment, need pain killers.

Lol been there man. I remember there was a time where every single time I road a bike I would crash. One time I was going down a slight hill dirt road with my cousin and his friends. I had no idea where I was going but for some reason was in the lead. There was this really wide turn but for whatever reason I just completely froze and went straight. There was a house on the corner with a bunch of big rocks right at the front perimeter before the lawn. I crash right between two rocks and my bike got stuck flipping me off. I cleared the rocks and landed on the grass on my back. Probably flew about 5ft upside down which was crazy since it didn't seem like I was going that fast. I shook it off and got up to see my cousin had also fallen on the road because he was laughing so hard lol.

Another time it was a open park with some bike trails. This certain area came to three trails intersecting. Literally not one other person was around so nothing to fear. Of course literally same story I just froze and didn't turn. Went straight and hit the only lamp post around lol. That time was extra funny since a lamp post is only a few inches thick and I hit it dead on. It's like I was focused on it and aimed my bike subliminally towards it. I don't remember if I fell or flew on that one but I hit it so hard my front tire literally compressed to where the rim was now a oval. The ride home sucked so much and I ended up dumping the bike.

I was crossing an intersection, just started getting up to speed about 1/3 of the way across the road when my chain broke. Not really sure what happened next but I went down pretty hard. Both arms scraped, right arm is swollen a little. Both knees twisted up and swollen but thankfully I was wearing pants so hardly any leg scrapes. Little hard to walk, but I'll live. :)

Now when you say bike, you mean a motorcycle or bicycle?

I'm getting better. I'm regaining my voice, but, I have to out up with a runny nose and sounding like I might die at any minute.

A package just arrived, on a Saturday! :D and I've discovered the joy of importing stuff, :embarrassed: but it's not too joyous in my bank account though. :scared:

Ah okay. Yeah.. the chain braking in the middle of the intersection has happened to me too. Mine was painful as well; it didn't affect my limbs, the damage was concentrated on one area: the groin. When the lights turned green, and the sign said “WALK", I stood up and pedaled as hard as I could to avoid causing a traffic jam (I'm considerate like that, even though only ONE car was turning). As I was crossing, my chain snapped, and naturally, my feet slipped off the pedals, and I landed on my crotch with all the momentum I had acquired.

The driver was a girl my age, and thankfully she pulled over to make sure I was okay, all the while trying not to burst out laughing. I ended up getting her number... :sly:

How did the chains on the bikes you guys have suddenly just give way? And also, how did you guys crash after the chain broke? Was it a change in momentum on the pedals that caused dis-balance?

I thought mine just came apart but looking at it last night, it did snap. I may have been running it too tight to solve another issue with a bad crank causing it to crack and break. Either that or cheap parts as its a Walmart bike.

Can't really remember my fall to be honest. I think my feet slipped off the pedals and the momentum caused me to turn the handle bars enough to cross up the steering and from there its all a blur. I'm getting a car this weekend anyway so glad to be rid of that damn thing.

That's how you do it! 👍 :sly:

Alright day but almost awful because on the drive home, from some relatives we visited today, a child ran onto the street. Because some ****ing A-hole drove inches behind me and made me break a sweat, I would have almost hit the kid. I swerved and braked enough to avoid the kid though, and soon enough she was rescued by her father. :scared:

Not a bad day at all today. Stayed the night at my Mums for the first time in 12 weeks after I had a disagreement with my Dad, but I sorted things out with him earlier so that worked out well. I'll continue decorating my room tomorrow and it should be ready by Tuesday/Wednesday in theory which I'm dead excited for.

Should've done a 520 conversion. :P

Pretty terrible day, actually. I live in Houston, so that should give you some idea of how stupid people can get on the road. Sober people appear drunk just by the way they drive.

But, yeah, an old Toyota Tacoma cut me off getting onto I-610 W, he was going 30 on the ramp, i was going 70--about 5mph over the speed limit(and anyway, the cops usually go 80 in the far left lane; they could care less about a Civic going 70)--and this guy decides it was a brilliant idea to jump out in front of a dark gray cannonball with wheels. I think the last time i spun a car that many times trying to avoid an accident, i think i was playing Saints Row: The Third.

The best part is, the guy pulled up next to me after i had conveniently spun into an emergency lane, rolled down his window, and hawked a loogie on my windshield.

I also lost the SIM card in my phone today.

In my case, I was trying to cross the intersection as fast as possible; I stood up on the pedals, got into sprinting position and went for it. I think I hit the pedals too hard because the master link (master link in the chain) got loose and when I tried to go even faster, the link popped off when it hit the gears. When your chain brakes, all the momentum you acquired propels you forward and your feet drop (well, mine did, causing me to land on the beam of my bike.)

Well, I would go for the usual “Welcome to GTPLANET! :gtplanet: :gtpflag:" and all its galore, but your day sounded like a nightmare! At least your okay, bud.

I'm taking an old Yamaha TY80 trials bike apart for cleaning, and everything was going fine until the kead off of the oil tank broke off. :ouch:

The plastic on the tank turned out to be extremely brittle, and so now I'm either going to have to find an almost 40 year old tank, or switch to premix.

Went out clubbing for the first time in months on Saturday; was supposed to be going with a couple of girls from work but they never made it out. Still, got the numbers of a couple of fine-looking brunettes on the dancefloor, apparently I was "very charming."

Yesterday was pretty chill, mostly recovery of course, but played a little Forza 4 and sorted out a few things with the Xbox One I have on pre-order.

I did that to my Can-Am. I hate premixing a ton of fuel for a long trip.

Hmmm... My mum's annoyed at me because she won't let me have my own key to the house... Well that's how I see it. She's the sort of person who won't trust any of her kids to do something because they were unable to do that something when they were 6. The same with house keys (she's never trusted me or any of my siblings with house keys ever).

So today when I got home, I found that one of the windows was latched (and a slide door unlocked, but I didn't use it because I wanted to try something else), so I got a stick, did some things to open the window from the outside so I could get inside to let my mum's dogs go outside to their outdoor bathroom. So my mum comes home, and is very angry because I got into the house in a way other than waiting for her to arrive home and unlock the door. I state that the 'problem' of me breaking into the house wouldn't exist if I had a key. And I'm told that I'll just lose the key, which I know I won't.

That sounds like a pain....

@Skython, in my house, I got my car first, and then the keys to the car and house. **** logic, right....? My dad would give me the keys to the house and car, and my mom would constantly nag me if I had the keys on me or not.

Anyways, I was supposed to wash the family van and my bicycle yesterday but held off til today; I didn't do anything today either. I just waited for the rain, and took a nice drive. I'll probably wash my bicycle on Wednesday.
Today, I hooked up with a girl in chem, after she got a pretty bad grade for the second time on a quiz.

I said, let's go for a walk. She refused. I took her hand, looked her in the eyes and said, you need this. As I turned to the professor to ask to leave the class, before I even said anything, he just winked at me and made the “You da man sign".

So we went for a walk, she vented a little bit, mostly took it out on the professor because he doesn't teach anything in class, just expects you to know it, then she began to cry. That's when she just completely let loose... hugs then kisses, more hugs...

So yeah, not a bad day.

I'll start with congrats, Drift. 👍 Canadian girls are, hopefully, easier to deal with than the German girls I knew. It seems that way to me, so I think it'll work out somewhat well.

I just got back from walking my mom's dog. Gosh, it's fun when some of the Croatian kids you went to school with show up and give all sorts of compliments about how well-trained and well-behaved your dog is. And, when an impromptu game of "monkey-dog-in-the-middle" breaks out with Croatians playing soccer with the dog in the middle of a huge circle... :D

And then I drove over to a friend's house, I hadn't seen her in so long!

A very good day.

Yep. It made my day.

Smooth operator. Also, is your professor "Professor Badass"? Nice to know someone is at least had a nice day.

Mine was great until I got standed with my damn bike. The rear wheel somehow collided with the frame and stopped moving. Even more embarrassing, my favorite linen shirt got ruined since I had to literally carry my bike on my shoulder. People were just cracking up at me while I was walking though 90 degree heat with a heavy ass classic 10 speed. I eventually got picked u by my mom, but our Lexus is too small, so I had to cram it into the back seats getting grease all over the place. As much as I love my two ten speed bikes, I think it's time for an upgrade. Seriously.

A tortoise fell from the sky! :dunce:

Pity the little fella, some owners just aren't suited for raising pets! :grumpy:
He must've fallen from at least the second floor, onto a roof on the first floor and onto the pavement. :scared:

He seems alright for now, had some bleeding on his nose but the shell looks fine. :nervous:
Just waiting for the owners to take him home, that is, if they even realize his disappearance! :ouch:

Awe, I hope he's okay!!

I keep putting myself in situations that are, beyond the shadow of a doubt, going to difficult for me :ouch::dunce:. Called my ex today to see how she's doing and left a message for her to call back :dunce:. Mainly because she's going through a difficult time in her life. Like one of those life changing situations where you're kinda obligated to make contact and at least ask how they're doing. But now that I told her to call me I'm kinda sitting here like, wtf did you do that for dummy? :dunce:

Anyway, got into a screaming match over the phone with the trucking company responsible for causing $2,000.00 in damage to my car. They're placing all the blame on me, like it's somehow my fault their driver damaged my car when I was 1,200 miles away from both their truck and my car.
