I have to agree. Some good racing, AI can't do that, AI don't offer sportsmanship. :P That pretty much describes my day. :)

So, yesterday was a weird day for me.

I spent the day at work making zombie piñatas for Halloween and left around 5.

I thought I'd go out for a beer as I had some time to kill before Mrs Shem finished work so I called my dad and met him in a restaurant where he was with a strange ginger guy.

The guy was from Ukraine and had pretty good English but was just odd in general. He spent all his time building websites and tau-kwan-do. Why? Were in China, study Gong-Fu!

Anyhow, that was strange (the young man, anyway) but then we went to a tea house to discuss business where my wife said she'll meet us and she was bringing her new work mates with. The company of beautiful Thai girls is never to be passed up!

Well you can imagine what happened when they arrived. They were erm...... you know. Very pretty and all but, well..........you know.

Then ensued a lot of questions from my dad who was fascinated in a very polite way, and a look of complete fear from the Ukrainian chap, being 100% orthodox Christian.

This bizarre situation lasted for a few hours the whole while poor Mrs Shem was translating 3 different languages at the same time and I just felt embarrassed (rare for me) by the whole situation. At least I had beer.

I knew what was coming when the..... erm........... girls arrived I just had no idea it would turn into such a strange night. This little tale doesn't do justice to the oddness of the occurrence, you'd have to have been there to understand.

EDIT: Well I totally forgot to mention the awesome helmet I got sent to review / market. It's got a rear view mirror just above the visor that uses reflecting mirrors to see out of the back! How cool!

Getting 100 mm cut off the back and 50 mm off the front of my hair later today. So then my hair will be a little easier to maintain.
 
For the most part, pretty horrible. But when I got home from school my mum was standing in the kitchen glaring at me with a letter from the school in her hands. It wasn't opened, but she went on and on about how I need to improve at school. She opens the letter, and it turns out it's about how I've been failing my Italian course (33% for the first semester). She shrugs it off, throws the note in the bin and says "I thought it would've been something more important than that."

Sometimes, I'm so glad to have white parents :D
 
My week so far was pretty awesome.

First, my car had a problem with shifting and the tail lights. The dealership tells me that I need a part that would cost $340, plus another $200 just to install. So, I did a little research online, only to find that someone had the exact same problem with their car (same make and model). Long story short, I fixed this three-month-long problem MYSELF, absolutely FREE OF CHARGE!!! :D

I've also completed the 24-hours of Le Mans Sunday. However, it left me with little time to do homework (it was only four problems; I thought I could do it in just a couple hours). Well, I couldn't do it. Come Monday, I find out that most of the class couldn't do it either! So, we got a week-long extension. 👍

Then yesterday, I got an oil change. I was there, along with one other customer. I go to McDonalds for just a minute, then the car was ready (it couldn't have been more than five minutes). I saved a little more cash on buying an iced tea, since the Jiffy Lube had one of those new coffee machines with like 20 different coffee flavors. :drool:

Then, I'm just now hearing that the GTR GT-500 stealth model is available for free on the PSN. Sweet.
 
Today has been decent. Good relaxing day at school, having jokes with friends and getting fantastic marks for my Maths test. Now I'm home having some good dinner. An enjoyable day afterall :)
 
Not to great. Found out this morning that my grandfather died. I just got back from school and I have a feeling the rest of the day will suck.

Went well. I've more or less got the job. They're just going to do a reference and background check now and I'm good to go! :D
 
Not too great so far, the apparatus in my dorm we made which keeps our window shut fell off during the night, and so it was less than 38 degrees (F) in our room, the dorm hasn't turned the heat on yet, and all I had to keep me warm was one thin sheet and my actual night clothes. Plus, my closet door was open like always so now all of my clothes are cold. Needless to say, I didn't get a lot of sleep, and my alarm didn't go off so I was nearly late for class. Luckily I wasn't, but I didn't have time to take a shower. 👎

The rest of the day should be better though. 👍
 
So,so...

Got to bed about 9.30am, slept till 17:45pm. My daughter woke me up with a cuddle which was nice...

Showered, dressed, kissed the wife and daughter then left for another 12hr nightshift (shift 17 of 21).

Looking forward to my 2wks off starting 07:30am Wednesday....GT5, alcohol and daylight!!
 
Productive. Chores, groceries, etc. Traded in 3 PS3 games for F1 2011 on PS3. Surprised at how average the graphics of that game is compared to GT5.
