Does anyone know of any good moves that you could use in a game? Eg some of the moves in that Nike Soccer ad. Brazil vs Portugal. I don't know why I never asked before. I want to be able to suprise all of the teams that we should come up against in our league.

If any of you guys know of any.... Tell me about them and how to do them.

I want to expand on my moves list.

You've probably familiar with these two, but they're very efficient:

1. Put the ball in front of your right leg. Then spin (start the spin with your right leg) and take the ball with your left leg while spinning (I mean with your left foots heel)

2. This is very simple, but efficient when moving sideways. For example, when you're moving left, kick the ball with your left foot so that it'll hit the right foot. This will look like you're changing direction. But actually, you'll keep going left, just faster.

I found it really difficult to describe those. I hope you understand what I mean.

Yeah I get what you're meaning. They sound like good tricks. Much, much more advanced than what I use, but I think I could try them.

Who knows what the rainbow is? I can do that the biggest out of everyone I know. Always a crowd pleaser.

How about putting your right foot on top of the ball and rolling it towards your left. You then lean the other way and flick the ball up with the outside of your right foot. Then, flick it over the defender with the outside of your right foot. You have to start this move a couple of metres in front of the defender but, once you perfect it, it's simple to bamboozle.

I have loads that I use on the pitch, but I dont know how I can describe them.

BTW in the land where this sport was invented it is known as football, not soccer :)

If you want to bamboozle, pass the ball accurately both in front of, and to your "trail".
No one on the field moves quite as fast as the ball. Make the ball do the work.
I like a good rainbow almost as much as a good bicycle kick.

Most of the other good "tricks" I know are designed for a goalie (three of my six sons have been goalies) to protect him/herself from overly agressive forwards.

Wow. People have actually replied to this thread.

Rainbows are easy. As said. I can do that better than anyone I know.

What's a rainbow? Please enlighten me...

EDIT: Is that when you flick the ball up with your front heel so it goes over your head and you can keep running?

Yep. I can make it go sky high.

What about with either leg rolling the ball forward under the foot. Then rolling the ball back and then rolling the ball to the side opposite the controling leg. Or instead of rolling it to the side you could roll it forward again, completly slowing the game down followed by a quick accelerating sprint.

Try using the maradona its a pretty good way to get around defenders.
I dont know how to describe this, its the move that Ronaldino does its very famous the one that he amazes people with. It takes a long time to master it but once u do it helps out a lot.

This is a good move if your in a tight space needing to launch the ball in the box, and it looks cool.

I'll explain this assuming you are right footed, (just switch the feet around if you are not obviously):
So your in a tight space with opposing players around you, put the ball in front of your left foot directly in front of the toe. Then roll the ball back HARD on to your left toe, (it may help if your left toe is slightly pointing up) the ball will then be flicked up in the air which you can easily volley in the box or to another player.

That trick is called "Elástico" here. Very cool move and Konami added to the new WE8 Liveware Evolution game.

God damn crazy Brazilians.

Kerlon flicks the ball in the air and runs with it like it is tied to his forehead.

He does it quite systematically, a few times in every game, and his close control with his head and overall co-ordination are so outstanding that he can perform the feat at pace or while changing direction.

It may sound like a circus trick, but the seal dribble is no laughing matter for the opposition. It is a move which is very difficult to stop by legal means.

On the evidence of the South American Under-17 Championship, on the majority of occasions either Kerlon manages to get past the defender or he wins a foul. If he chooses the right time to unleash the move then it is a highly effective weapon.
