Welcome to December! Hopefully your beloved team(s) can make this a December to remember... for the GOOD reasons, of course. Get ready for another Sunday of NFL football. Enjoy today's games! Let us know how your team(s) is/are doing if they play today or on Monday Night.

At least the Jets can look back on their first half as productive. Nah, they threw away the game and a Denver win tomorrow officially continues their playoff drought at 13.

It wasn't a pretty game (though it was 59°F and sunny in Jacksonville!), but the Houston Texans downed the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-20 in Jacksonville. These long time AFC South rivals sometimes seem mirror images of each other. Players got ejected as a fight broke out after HOU hit a sliding Trevor Lawrence. Houston nailed two offensive touchdowns in the second half, but Jacksonville came back to bring the game to three points on a touchdown and two-point conversion. The Jaguars could do no more as the Texans escape Jacksonville with a win.

UP NEXT: [in two weeks time] vs. Miami Dolphins

Yep. My Houston Texans will have an inner-forum rivalry with Omnis' Miami Dolphins in two weeks here in Houston next.

Congratulations to all winners from this week! This time, my team is among the winners!

Bryce Young led a potential game winning drive but unfortunately he left 30 seconds on the clock which allowed the Bucs to tie the game. Chubba Hubbard fumbled after a spectacular catch by Adam Thielen and the Panthers ended up losing. Young looked good again. The throw he made to temporarily give the Pnathers the lead with 30 seconds to go was a really good throw. He is showing some progress and he is slowly but surely starting looking the No.1 pick in the draft

Ain't going to complain because they lost the game themselves thanks to the missed field goals and that fumble. But I fail to understand how this wasn't a TD?

Still, happy that Bryce is finally starting to show his potential because it means the Panthers can spend their draft pick on another position, rather than throwing another QB to the wolves.

Dolla dolla Bills, y'all. 35-10, Bills whack the visiting San Francisco 49ers on a snowy Sunday night. Bills improve to 10-2 on the season. San Francisco, meanwhile, falls to 5-7.

Steelers have forgotten how to play defence but who cares, Russell Wilson is ballin! 400 yards, 3 touchdowns. Needed 44 points to finally put down the Bengals. Browns rematch next week.

It was the Steelers’ first 41-point day since Week 10 of the 2018 season and their first game with 41+ points on the road dating back to Week 14 of the 2014 season
We've really sucked on offence for a very long time. A very big thank you to the Broncos and Sean Payton for the gift of a QB1.

Just catching up on the highlights for the other games - pretty dirty hit by the Texans player on Trevor Lawrence (hope he's ok, concussions can wreck your whole life) and the ongoing struggles of Justin Tucker are great entertainment.

Browns at Broncos TONIGHT!

The first Monday Night Football game happens a mile high above sea level. Let us set up this match tonight:

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
* CLE Browns (3-8, 4th in AFC North) at DEN Broncos (7-5, 3rd in AFC West)
Denver hopes to remain in the postseason hunt as they host the Cleveland Browns.

  • FAVORED: DEN (-6)
  • OVER/UNDER: 42.5 points

We're about to find out who will win tonight up in Denver. Denver has to win against the Browns to keep their postseason hopes alive. An upset loss by the Brownies could possibly derail Denver's dreams.

Enjoy tonight's game!

I don't know if it speaks to how good the Steelers' offense played or how God awful Cincy's D has become.

Burrow and company have been putting up monster numbers and keep losing. We should be fighting for divisional and conference championships with this offense. Unfortunately, Joe's talent is being completely wasted. It's starting to feel a lot like another Joe(y), as in Votto, with the Reds.

The National Football League has suspended Houston Texans LB, Azeez Al-Shaair for his vicious hit on Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville. He will be suspended for the next three games.

Now on to Week 14 of the 2024 NFL Season. Here is some of what is coming up...

* Joey D's Detroit Lions look to keep on ballin' when the Green Bay Packers visit Detroit this Thursday night.

* Inner-forum madness will ensue when Blitz24 and kjb's New York Jets go down to Miami to face Omnis' Miami Dolphins.

* The other New York team, the New York Giants, will host the New Orleans Saints.

* The Carolina Panthers will do what they can when they visit the hot Philadelphia Eagles.

* Fezzik's Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Cleveland Browns, who recently came up short at Denver.

* The Los Angeles Chargers will be at the Kansas City Chiefs for Sunday Night Football this week.

* Monday Night Football this week happens in Arlington, Texas. It will be the Dallas Cowboys trying to tame Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals. Dallas still think they can make a postseason run.

* BYE WEEK: Denver, Indianapolis, New England, Washington, Baltimore, Houston

That's right- no Texans this week. We FINALLY get our Bye Week after getting worn out so much in 2024. Indy also gets an off week. So no shuffling among the top AFC South teams this will happen.

That's all from me. Enjoy this week's games!

I will pray to the football gods that Sewell, our 6'5", 335lb, OT, throws a TD to Goff tomorrow night.

Carolina continues to give players away. They traded Diontae Johnson & a 6th rd pick to the Ravens for a 5th rd pick and they are picking up the remainder of his salary.

You know, in hindsight. Seems like the Panthers dodged a bullet with him and were lucky to get anything in return. The guy is burning bridges everywhere he goes. He would have been facing a nice payday in Carolina at the end of the year. But now I doubt any team is going to take a risk on him now for anything other than the bare minimum.

Probably not a coincidence either that the Panthers have looked better since this trade.

One of a long line of morons the Steelers produce at WR and then have to dump. He’s not quite at Antonio Brown levels yet though. George Pickens is next, he’ll be playing for someone else next year.

As I celebrate 21 years on GTPlanet today, be sure to check out tonight's Thursday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers at Joey D's Detroit Lions. Enjoy tonight's game!

If we follow that logic last year he was on the Steelers and while they made the playoffs they didn't get very far. They trade him to Carolina and they are one of the best teams in the NFL. Carolina trades him and they start playing better. Now on the Ravens he is making them bad. ( Of course the porous defense and Justin Tucker being washed have something to do with the losing as well but just go with me on this) So following that logic Diontae Johnson causes teams to lose

As I saw the final score on X/Twitter, it was 34-31 Detroit over visiting Green Bay. So the Lions keep on roaring as the Green Bay Packers succumbed to Detroit's awesomeness. All congratulations to the cats from MoTown!

Damn, that was a huge win for the Lions. The team is so banged up that our 5th string/practice squad dudes are out there and we're still winning! So awesome to see Tim Patrick get two touchdowns too.

Here is the updated Playoffs list after last night's GB at DET game...

ELIMINATED: NE, JAX, LV, NYG

More of the blanks will be filled in as this month progresses.

The 2024 NFL season continues today. Go enjoy as much NFL action as you can handle today!

I really like Xavier Legette but for God's sake, catch the ball man!

Regardless of this being another game they maybe should have won. The Bryce Young apology tour continues on.

Jets continue to show why they aren't a good team. Undisciplined and ineffective defense.

Let me talk about the Noon games...

* Another sad day for Raiders nation, as Las Vegas fell at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-13.

* I saw some of the end of this game on CBS. It was Fezzik's Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Cleveland Browns. Late in the game, the Brownies muffed a punt that basically confounded Cleveland even more. Steelers won this one 27-14 in Pittsburgh.

* I saw a little of the end of this game as well. I was pulling for the Giants just for a happy outcome for our GTPlaneteer Jump_Ace. Well, that outcome ALMOST happened. The Saints blocked a 35-yard field goal from straightaway dead center. Dem Saints beat dem Giants 14-11 on the road in heartbreaking fashion.

* Minnesota had no problem grounding the Atlanta Falcons at home 42-21. The Vikings improve to 11-2 overall and 6-1 at home. And Atlanta fans- don't worry. My Texans know how much Minneapolis can be a purgatory for visiting teams.

* Blitz24's New York Jets jetted their way to Miami to play at Omnis' Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have been hot lately and are more dangerous than their 5-7 record indicates. Regulation solved nothing, so Overtime was needed. Miami won 32-26 in Overtime. Up next, the Dolphins will hit the road and meet my Houston Texans.

* Two teams going no further in this season played today. The Jacksonville Jaguars made their way up to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. The game was more a high-scoring baseball game than a football game. Jackonsville won 10-6. Both teams now 3-10.

That's all so far. The nightcap tonight is the Los Angeles Chargers at the Kansas City Chiefs. Tomorrow's Monday Night game is Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals at the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, that was a game and a half. Didn't expect that win.

Whose house? RAMS HOUSE!

The biggest thing for me in the Steeler win - they did it without George Pickens. So much of our passing attack has been reliant on him the last couple of seasons. He's likely gone in the offseason so this is a positive sign for the future.

Of course all this is dependent on having a veteran like Wilson at QB, able to spread the ball around to multiple targets. I wouldn't be confident in Fields doing the same. We're going to have to shell out upwards of $30 million a year to keep RW, and hope he doesn't turn into a pumpkin immediately like Kirk Cousins.

Good to have a 2 game lead considering the upcoming schedule - Eagles, Ravens, Chiefs. Yikes. At least we finish with a nice easy one against the Bungles.

...and speaking of the Bengals...

Bengals at Cowboys TONIGHT!

Who dey? Hey, Dolph Drago... your Cincinnati Bengals are ready for prime time again! ...or are they? Opposing the Bengals are "America's Team," the Dallas Cowboys. Here is the setup:

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
The Cincinnati Bengals seek a big road win when they visit the Dallas Cowboys.
  • CIN Bengals (4-8, 3rd in AFC North) at DAL Cowboys (5-7, 3rd in NFC East)
  • FAVORED: CIN (-5.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 49 points

D'oh! Check this out. ESPN wants to make tonight's game a bit more fun. So what will happen is that ESPN+ will have a special "The Simpsons Funday Football" to give a more playfui side of this game. If you follow the NHL, you may know the NHL and Disney's "Big City Greens" has a game each season using "Big City Greens" to make for a fun hockey broadcast. Well, I think The Simpsons will make this game tonight a bit more fun. Now if the game turns out to be Comedy Hour one one or both sides, then The Simpsons will make it icing on the cake.

IF you know The Simpsons, there is a little connection to this game tonight. I do remember one episode of "The Simpsons" where Homer Simpson wanted to buy the Dallas Cowboys, but instead gets... another NFL team. So there is a little connection with this game and The Simpsons.

Enjoy tonight's game!

I don't know why Homer was upset, he got a much better team and for free (Hank Scorpio really was the best boss).
