"If it ain't broke, why fix it." This is one of the longest running series in GT. Leave it as it is.

My feeling exactly, i dont want any of this winner chooses combos. The divisions the rules are all how we like them, What you see today is the results of 2 years + of work, obviously something is being done right as its still around :D.

May the new WRS guy keep everything as is, though the odd refinement is welcomed, but no drastic changes please.

sorry to hear this kent, even tho im fairly new to gt forums itl be sad to see ya go mate, still all tha best yer.
well now weve got quite a few likely candidates i think we should either start a poll thread OR jus vote in this one, i spose it'l be the latter so my vote goes to: iceman 👍

Kent, sorry to see you go. I haven't raced in the WRS much but I've been around and you've always seemed like top of the class as far as organization and moderation goes.

Will you stay racing still?

I agree with the people saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." The WRS needs one central moderator who decides the races based on their own experience, suggestions and what has been done in the past. The WRS organizer needs to have a deep knowledge of both GT4 and racing in general. If they needs help as far as lap verification or some such then they can seek it themselves.

Of all the names I've seen mentioned in this thread I would have to go with Famine. He has the GT knowledge and race knowledge. I know he has been around here since before time and is a known and trusted racer with much OLR experience.

My only hesitation is Famine's obscure and masochistic race picks. Promise me no more group B rally cars at Citta, rev limiter fun or god aweful JGTC cars....

:)

I have to say I enjoyed his races, all except the first one. Couldn't be bothered to run something with no suspension system, 4 gears, weight measured in amount of whales, and no brakes. Other than that, the other two races were quite enjoyable and challenging, I would say.

If it has to come down to voting, I give my vote to Famine, as well - just because he has been here longer than most of us.

Not that I am implying he is old :sly: :D

My ideas on winners was only suggestions since it was brought up earlier. I am new to this, and will go with what the "old timers" would like.

I know what it feels to have a "newbie" idea rejected, Teledriel.

I have been there before :D

It sure takes some time to get some respect around here...

But don't let this upset you, always express your ideas, somebody might actually like them. And if they criticize you, use it for your own advantage. Criticism is a good way of improving yourself 👍

CFM is the lucky winner in this auction.

There are several reasons for picking him so don't be shy about telling him in weeks to come as he does his very best to run the WRS.

Now you can get that wonderful house in Beverly hills, with all that money you now have ;)

Congrats CFM

Congratulations from me as well, CFM

I hope you will keep us busy with the WRS for a long time to come 👍

Congrats to CFM. Looking forward to race under your command. 👍

Thanks to you, Kent, for doing a fantastic work during this last year. 👍 Enjoy your freedom. ;)

Congrats CFM - Even though I don't race in the WRS anymore, I still lurk, and CFM is just the man to do the job !....

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and kind words from everyone. Kent and Boombexus have done a great job in the past here in the WRS and my only plan is to try to keep everything running as smoothly as they have. No major changes are planned for the WRS aside from the new deadline time, so if you're looking for a revolution, you ain't gonna get it.:)

And remember, flattery and groveling will get you everywhere in the results thread.:sly: ;)

The P.M that I sent Kent asking him to appoint you as WRS organizer must have helped.

Hope it all goes well for you CFM. I'm looking forward to your new management style and to battling it out with you on the track. Good luck. 👍

Wow! I dis-appear for an evening and all hell breaks loose!

I have to say CFM, Famine and Iceman could have all done the job. I big hearty pat on the back to all 3 of them for earning EVERYONES trust and admiration during their time here at GTP.

CFM, congrats on winning the auction, though you may regret buying this madhouse. :scared:
I look forward to racing under your leadership. 👍

Kent, sad to see you go mate. Been a good run for you here at the WRS and I think it's safe to say you are stepping down as a champion in many of our eyes!
I hope to chase your tail-lights in a few races if/when you have time. ;)

Another idea may be to have two guys, alternating weeks so it would be less work, and allow more free time for planning and driving. Just a thought.

Ok, now that you've been raised to the supreme honor, what about your campaign promises ???  (joke)
More seriously, alternating weeks is not a good idea, there's no need to change something that works. However, I think that it would help if you name one or two back-up organizers who would have legitimity to post a race if you stay offline for a while as it happened to Kent last month.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not expecting my name on this list. I just think such a list should exist.
That was my final two cents before going back home.

flat-out

Yes, I am planning to contact one or two people for an emergency backup in case something happens where I can't run things for some reason. Once all these PM's that are stacking up already are sorted out.:)

I'd be willing to fill in on the occasion that you can't make it or are having problems. Just add me on AIM if you'd like to discuss it :D.

Wow, I dissapear for a couple of months and look at all these changes!!!

First of all, congrats CFM for the new job...I think you have the quality to run the WRS in an excellent way just like Boom and Kent have done :)

Second, plans on buying GT4 aren't active at the moment, then I would get into it so much that it would distract me from this very rough semester at college hehe  , so I'll try to get it around july-august where mid vacations come. 👍

Well till the next time I see you guys, and good luck CFM on your new job, adios :)

Id better add here that i will sorely miss KENT, who put up with my essay style time submissions, and i hope to see him racing against me in the near future, and i would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our new leader on his first week of business and warn CFM of my essay style time submissions, to which i hope he does not take offence.

Hahaha

See you in the following months man!

Good job CFM, I'm fairly new here but it's obvious you have earned a lot of respect from many racers. I look forward to racing under your leadership.

j/k j/k :D

I have just noticed they promoted you to Moderator status, Constant Forward Momentum.

Congratulations

Does that mean you can ban me now?

Better start respecting you, then ;)

I have witnesses:

TheWizard declares that from now on CFM is granted respect from the former.
