Also, I know they get permission to use the lot when they have drifting events, but that wasn't my point. My point was just that nobody really cares about rubber left on a parking lot. Yes, technically you could call it vandalism, but that's not really a big issue. I had friends in high school that used to go to parking lots to do donuts and the cops never cared. They were just happy the kids were keeping it off the street.

There are lots of companies/stores that like to look clean, thus like a clean looking parking lot, which is why some people get mad when someone leaves a long dual strip of rubber laid on the pavement...

God when I was still at my high school, damn did I get in trouble for laying rubber. I'm a devil child.

Heres what I figure: If you payed for your car liscense, registration and pay taxes to maintain roads police etc. You SHOULD be able to do whatever you want in your car....HOWEVER endangering other peoples is not something that should be done. If you want to be stupid fine but don't make someone else pay for your stupidity. Now back to my point....Since we already pay to use the streets but don't want to endager lives why cant they just go out in the middle of nowhere and just pave a large area and let people drive there as they please. They could drift, race whatever...they already PAY to use streets why should they pay again to use a track? part of thier taxes could be voluntarily used to maintain this area. Of course the city/county/state/govt would not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that result from use of the facilities...have them sign a liability release form when they enter or something...that way people have a free place to mess with their cars and if anything happends let them deal with it...by entering you can ssume that you may potentially be hurt by yourself or others and are making a conscious decision to enter at your own risk.....As for drifitng I agree that it more for show than anything else, grip is for speed...as for why they do it, they do it because they like it and want to. those are the reasons anyone does anything they like so It's not anybodys business to critisize what other people like to do.

What the hell that the stupidest logic. Roads are ment to go from point A to point B. Just cause I pay taxes doesn't mean I own the roads.

ya deal with it, I had to put up with people bashing street racing, american cars, and other such things.

Skyline.......The job of the Government is to protect mans right to life....if you endanger YOUR right to life, then the government will get involved, because it's their job...No matter how minute or retarded it may seem..
