*Spa Francorchamps. Double Gauche Issue*

So my teams been practicing on this specific turn for 500miles now to prepare for the Nation Cup this weekend and we've noticed before but we didn't look into it until now. This specific Turn the Double Gauche should not be so slippery on either RM or RS compounds. The SF19 cars just struggle to stick the turn and in real life they should hold easy on these turns but it doesn't. What are your thoughts on this everyone?

It has always been that slippery since GT7 physics took over. Just gonna have to adapt. It was like that for the Toyota Cup as well.
 
It's only like that as we are using a BOP, spec tune

However, we are not lifting in GT7, and they are lifting significantly, even downshifting in that video

We can of course have tuner races to nullify this effect, but yeah...

It may have to do with aero such as downforce since its taken at moderate speeds.

My thoughts are that Super Formula is not Formula 1.
 
They still call it Pouhon during the F1 race. Was that the town that was nearest that turn??

Just had a shot at the Nation free practice after the update, and Pouhon / double gauche is now 5 times harder.
I had no much issue before (with short lift), I can barely make it through now...

The SF is a lot harder generally, seems the downforce is not as strong as before and now the car suddenly snap where it wouldn't before the update.
 
Also not an F1 car, but closer in grip levels to SF. Watch from 2:18


Bro! Thanks for finding this awesome video. I watched and looked into it and its very similar to what we experience in spa. This proves that the mechanic are right!

What controller do you use, wheel ?

I'm on controller (stick).
I didn't manage to take it flat a single time after the patch (had maybe 40-50% success rate before it).
Also had to change the way I took Les combes (slower entry, keep more on the left) after the patch.
I had 2 practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evening, the change in behavior was fairly big to me (as in, harder to control)

I suppose it could be a change to the controller input model, with less/no impact on wheel.
This being said, but Kie was also complaining the SF19 felt very different to him after the patch, so not sure.

Actually after the patch, my team came to the conclusion the SF19 cars are a little more stable. But you have to be careful on torque and input because the SF19 will spin you out if you dont. But some turns are more doable now. But yeah man patch has changed a lot of mechanics. For example: The suspension system in GT7 has changed durastically. Same with driving on the tarmac or bumpers.
If yours to tight on a turn and under spin hard your suspension may fail and become damaged in race. Also, if you drive over the bumper and its a bit rough, you will get tire or suspension damage like in real life.
Something big is coming to the GT7 series. Thye wouldnt make these micro changes if they didnt. They are pretty serious about the IMSA contract after all. As the IMSA seems serious about running an event with PD, SONY's, GT7.

SF was easy to drive, only issue was trying to avoid carnage in opening lap 🚑
