Spa vs. Le Mans

I have a bias towards low-mid powered road vehicles, so I find racing on Spa more enjoyable for those classes. What about the rest of the GTP community - which would you rather be introduced to GT Sport first*? I see most people have a top three list that includes one or the other, rarely both.

Spa! It's one of the very best tracks in the world. The elevation changes, mix of corners and need for top speed as well as downforce make it a very challenging track.

Circuit de la Sarthe. Well, it's got some long straights and can accommodate a massive number of cars at once. Other than that, mediocre track at best.

I prefer Lemans but voted Spa. If we are going to get Lemans we need Lemans race cars to go with it.

I don't think I've ever really enjoyed Spa, so I want Le Mans way more.

Hard to say. While Spa is easily my favorite grand prix circuit, my heart in racing is with Le Mans. I'd be happy with either showing up first, again assuming they both arrive.

One thing, though. If and when they add Le Sarthe, I hope the bumps aren't so exaggerated as they are in the previous games. Some spots on the Mulsanne felt like I was racing trophy trucks.

Spa! One of my favorite tracks of all time

Not to belittle de la Sarthe since it's a good track as well, but that's it. What makes it special imo is its history and the prestigious 24h of Le Mans, not the actual track.

Spa. Beautiful track.

Sarthe is great yet I really only want to drive GR.1 on there. I would fall asleep driving GR.4 on Sarthe. Plus I have no doubt PD will screw up the track limits or reset point, if any, at the chicane

I think Spa would be better for online racing, since it only features one chicane that comes after a long straight. La Source comes after a relatively short straight, and has a long run off area, so it's a bit forgiving for victims of divebombers.

de la Sarthe and its chicanes during the back straight... well

Spa for sure. Never been a big fan of la Sarthe in the sim, only the first and last part are fun to drive the rest is just boring straights and chicanes imo.

I love both as both tracks are historic and a great challenge and joy to drive on but I had to choose la Sarthe. I drive LMPs and GT3s a whole lot and I'm itching to get those cars to top speed (Tokyo does not count)

I may be a little biased towards le mans because I knew about that track and race before I knew about Spa.

Spa is one of the 3 greatest race tracks in the world IMO, right up there with Panorama and Nordschleife. Le Mans is special because of its deep history, but in terms of an actual race course it's kinda overrated. I still want it added at some point, but right now Spa is #1 on my list and it's not even close.

That is a very difficult choice as they are my two favourite circuits in motorsport.
La Sarthe is always my most used circuit in a game but I almost exclusively use LMP cars there. If we get Spa-Francorchamps I would use a variety of classes.

On that basis I will vote for Spa-Francorchamps by the slightest of margins.

No single point where Le Mans can beat Spa, looking all elements (straights, corners, elevations, nature, length, public, F1, overall...), so, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.


Personal opinion that is trying to be a fact.


Edit:

+ in GTS, Le Mans would be a nest for rammers, plus, except for Gr.1, it would be boring.

To be clear, I like them both, but is obviously who I like more.
