What kind of speakers does everyone have in order to maximise their MP3 listening/gaming pleasure?

Me: Cambridge PC Works

The ones I have are the predecessor to this set:

They're made by Altec Lansing.

They absolutely rock.

Both my computers have had Altec Lansing speakers supplied as OEM, and I've never been anything but seriously impressed with them. They have huge versatility across the tonal range, and lots of power too.

I also have Altec Lansing speakers:

These are the Altec Lansing 251 5.1 speakers. MP3 and CD playback sounds great and in game is even better! The bass from the sub really thumps and has plenty of power to fill my bedroom, enough to shake the walls, and then some.

...and annoy the neighbours?

I am very happy with my JBL Studio Series 5.1 speaker system. I have these speakers, but in black finish instead of the natural finish as pictured.

also check the weight. the heavier the speaker usually means the heavier the magnet. and the heavier the magnet means the better sound ull get out of ur speaker.

No, a heavier magnet means it can handle more watts of power. This doesn't work anymore, thanks to neodymium magnets.

I have the most huge custom stereo hooked up to my computer. I'm talking about over a totall of 1000 watts. I've got 2 Polk bookshelf, 2 aiwa bookself, and 2 old Pioneer cabnets with12" woofers, some horn, and mid, and 2 15" Kenwood something big and bassy...or something.... It's a beast, one that I put together. This is the stuff I do.

I have Creative Labs Inspire 5200 5.1 surround sound system. I wish I had bought a better setup but it was all I could afford when I bought my computer.

are u serious? a while back i bought a sound system for my house. i had a choice between more expensive sanyo speaker to less expensice sony and i took the less expensive cause they were heavier. oh well.

A Cambridge Soundworks sub , dont know what modle/or setup it origanaly came from, and i dont care as it provies excellent bass for me, and then i have my 6 inch 150watt stereo speakers attached to thatm which also provide excellent sound

i got my entire HT connected to my pc,plus i have my sony sava 7 (or something like that).

btw my rear speakers are 2 kicker competition (i blew the original rears,so i use the kickers to add more bass to my room)

Logitech Z640s...Nice sound, great speakers, nice and cheap too. :D

Ahh, I've got some pics. They aren't great, and as you can see, I haven't dusted in a while, but here she is. She'll certainly make a little noise...

On the top there are two Polk bookshelf...

And the rest of my stereo for my computer:

I've got that set too - i love the sound they make for the amount I paid. They sound especially nice when i'm listening to jazz, but they also pump the bass really well when I'm listening to Rap or trance. Best ones I've heard in this price range 👍 - worth every penny of the $80 canadian I paid for them.

I also used to have a pair of sony mdr-v500 headphones till I got mugged in the street :banghead:
