Specific Cars for Each Race

Do you have a link to a list of cars which I can use for each race? It doesn't matter if I only get 1 A-spec point for using the car. My goal right now is just to finish the game and get the A-spec points later.

Thanks!

Erm....the ones that are eligible for each race! :sly:
It tells you when you try to enter!!! If you violate an entry condition, like drivetrain, length or wrong country it'll flash red at you! :scared:

FF races? Let's see? Anything FF perhaps?
Turbo races? Anything with a turbo perhaps?
A little common sense helps, of course, but it's pretty obvious most of the time, e.g. You can't enter a Land Rover for a Spider / Roadster race, nor an SLR McLaren for a K-Car Cup race.
Manufacturers events are pretty simple to figure out, you can't enter a Nissan in a BMW event, that sort of thing!

Sorry to sound a little patronising, :guilty: but it's a fairly simple thing to figure out.
The biggest restriction you're likely to run into is tyre types. You can't run race cars on race tyres in many events because they have a sports/normal tyre restriction in place.

Best advice would be to consult the game guides link at the top of the screen and select GT4. Should link you to the Wikipedia entries which show the exact entry conditions for all events, and in some cases which AI opponents you can expect to run against.

As for which cars you should run in each event, that's a subjective thing that's different for every driver, and based on personal choices, preferences and allegiances to a particular brand or type of car.
Having someone tell you what to do is no fun. Quit being a sheep and following the flock, 👎 make some choices of your own free will and be a man! 👍

If you want to do it easily and simply without spending too much money, search for either [SEARCH]Scrooge[/SEARCH] and look for threads by Mr. Slow or [SEARCH]1st of June Society[/SEARCH] and look for Famine's thread. ;)

Welcome to GT Planet! Enjoy the gravity here!!!

Thanks for the reply! I know that there is a list of cars which I can use for each event, it's just that I don't have the time to test each one of them. I understand your point that it would be more fun to play the game with my own style/car choice, but for now, I just want to finish the game.

Cheers!

Simply choose the car with the most bhp and the lightest mass which is allowed for that paticular event.

And try not to tune your car. This may sound strange, but it is more important you learn tracks, racing lines, that sort of thing. Later in the game you will find races where you are against the same cars, and it CAN'T be tuned.

This:

...is going to make THIS irrelevant:
And try not to tune your car. This may sound strange, but it is more important you learn tracks, racing lines, that sort of thing.
...and will lead directly to this:
Later in the game you will find races where you are against the same cars, and it CAN'T be tuned.
migsvil: I understand that you're simply trying to murder this game as quickly as possible. However, I respectfully submit that if your goal is simple 100% completion as quickly as possible, GT4 is not the game for you.

Even using the fastest possible car for every event, there are still thousands of miles to drive and hundreds of hours to be spent doing it. Except that instead of finding whatever fun is to be had actually racing in the game, you'll spend it sightseeing around the same tracks time after time in the same car. It will be massively boring to say the least.

Take your time and do without having access to all the cars right away, and enjoy playing the game, not just beating it.

Oooh, a power walkthrough!

Seriously, I don't think GT4 is that type of game. I can spend weeks without racing, just driving.

GT4 is a game and everybody can play it the way he wants. I focused for a while on licences without doing one race. At 43g, 21s and 16b I decided to try out the races, got bored because it seemed to be too easy to win until I found out about the a-spec points. I'm now working on each race until I have at least 100 points. The '200pt a-spec race' folder in this forum is such a great help.
I don't care about percentage complete but I'm interested in a-spec points and found help in this forum. Why not providing help for someone with a different focus?

migsvill asked for their advice and he got some. He also got some "added value" from players with experience, to help make the game more enjoyable and to help keep him from taking a path that is less productive.

The OP said in the first post that he does care about percentage, so let him take your first advice and let him play it his way.

They did their best under the circumstances, as always.

Hello MasterGT,

that's exactly my point: let him play it his way. With my second posting I was just trying to say that one can help even without being on the same strategie.

Prost!

Thanks guys for the response!

If you read my first post, you would know that finishing the game as quickly as possible is just my short term goal. Later on, if I do have more time, I'd want to do the challenges (max a-spec, minimal buys...) which were done by some of you guys.

i used a walkthrough that i found on gamefaqs site. (i think ebony ivory is good)

now i have 100% i have restarted the game and am now trying to do most of it with out any helps from walthroughs or the sort.
