I'll be there, probably a slightly later start time would be nice though. I've had a pretty long day that's still going until 7 here and I'd like time to relax and get in the groove, maybe 6:45 central?

Take every opportunity to prepare.
Even if its just finding your way around in the dark.

Headlights, taillights, brake lights.....
Screaming fans in the stands.....ok maybe just a few.

I do wonder why they chose to only about 1/3rd fill the stands. The atmosphere would be a lot cooler if they had packed all the stands and campgrounds. Maybe even hear a bit of the screaming you mentioned when you go past the stands too, that would be pretty cool.

Room will be open at 6:30cst - 6:40cst and then we'll go green maybe 6:50 once everyone gets there

If someone beats me there they can open the room that's fine...

Again I'm looking to see how I need to adjust my tune for RMs and night driving so I'll likely be just gathering intel and feeling out curbs so I can retool of necessary tomorrow

But I'll commit to a 45min to hour long sprint if you guys are cool with that...

Mirrors VERY minimal headlights!! If your flop to rear view to see who's behind you you can see lights - but almost zero mirror info!!

Great testing tonight boys

I think it's VERY safe to say that top time leaderboard watching is a complete waste of time!!!

I said it tonight and I'll say it again here as my only free advice - if the slowest among us can keep it on the road for 90min they will win by over 1min...

This race will be exclusively about keeping your feet (or fingers) in the game!!!

summary:

consistency is the key.

Yes, consistency consistency consistency. Sure it'll be nice to go fast once you get clean air but you'll want to back off of the aggressive lines, I know there's no way I'll be able to hold mine for a solid 90 minutes. Just make long runs now and get a rhythm going, that's how anyone will be able to stay in this one until the nitty gritty comes around. This will be a wild race so don't let your guard down or you'll be the next thing happening on the track.

Then play it cagey and get the most out of it!!!!
Don't take a small pot when you could carefully earn a big pot...
....But don't get greedy and let your opponent draw out on you because you didn't see the finish line that woulda got you paid.....
Always take the pot when you feel you need to...
Raking some chips is better than no chips...
But remember - conservative seldom gets glory
Care enough to be unreasonable...
Win
