Ok, this may be quite a long post:
For me qualy went ok... I think, couldn't do better really. Happy to "only" be half a second off
@Philtaylor17
The race went surprisingly well, still a few mistakes on the raidillon. No fuel saving on my side, the car seems not that bad on fuel anyway. I probably should have pitted one lap earlier as the tires started to drop off quite fast, but it wouldn't change the results.
I was so focused at the end I thought my fastest lap was on the first stint, but I just watched the replay and noticed I went 2 tenths quicker on lap 13, so very proud of that
Again big congrats to
@Philtaylor17 I don't think I have the pace to beat you through the season, but we never know, maybe at Suzuka...
As for
@PTLobo2 :
I know EXACTLY what you feel about this game right know as I stopped to race on Sport mode since June. When I was younger and I still have this opinion today, I always saw racing like a big event that you look forward for days or for weeks. Long event where you have one and only one chance to deliver, and thats what I loved with the first concept of FIA races : only one shot, one chance to deliver, I was exited because I was training for an EVENT. Now with multiple shots and questionable meta, I don't see how those races can be fun anymore. Even on daily races. My main issue with them is the qualy system, it's encourage more the tryharding than actually being fast on one lap when it matters and that's not how qualy should work for me.
At the same time, that's why I love this series, and the other small series I had the chance to take part, because they still have this "event" side, the "thing" that makes me want to be involved.
I had the chance to get into A+, reached 60k before the DR uptdate and I'm not intersted for more atm.
Basically, the best advice I can give you is to stop sport mode, stop putting you pressure on any races, focus on other games... I also started to play plenty of games on PC when I stopped to play GT, somes where related to racing, others not. Just take a step away from "competitive games" I would say.
Since November last year I started to do karting races at my local track (a bit like Club 100 in th UK but with slower karts sadly) and I must say even if I'm clearly not one of the fastest guys out there, It taught my to race in a more positive way, with less fustration, so maybe if you can afford it, after all the mess we experience in those times, you can give it a shot:tup:
